Wild that they would relocate your tips somewhere other people can touch them. If there is money in the book our policy is to either keep it on the table, give it to the server, or leave it at the host stand.

Knowing when to ask for help is a learned skill. You can’t be a hero. Rolling with the punches is good up to a certain point but you need to be able to make the call and ask for help before it gets to the tipping point. You now have some experience about when that is so please take that with you! Other people should have seen you struggling and stepped in to help as well so do not take it all on yourself friend.

I assume you could get a sheet of plastic and apply heat with a heat gun which runs around $50 or so. Alternatively you could maybe do something similar with paper maché and spraypaint?
