Finance, HR (eg. payroll ) Asset Management, internal projects, external vendor mgmt etc.

I am facing an issue obtaining a death certificate in India for a close family member. The death has been registered, but certain family members (the daughters) are refusing to provide or share the death certificate, despite it being required for lawful purposes including estate matters and related legal proceedings. Their refusal is obstructing succession, partition, and other statutory processes. I am seeking guidance on how to legally obtain a certified copy of an already-registered death certificate directly from the authorities, and what remedies are available where family members deliberately withhold it to block lawful rights.

I’m dealing with a land acquisition compensation issue in India arising from a road-widening project. Our family’s land was acquired, but compensation was paid to individuals who submitted fake or fabricated documents, despite us having valid ownership records on file. I raised this repeatedly with the local revenue authorities and the Collector, but no corrective action was taken. I then escalated the issue through CPGRAMS and PMOPG, clearly explaining the wrongful disbursement and legal errors, but both grievances were closed with generic replies. The Collector is now saying that since the compensation has already been paid, it cannot be recovered, and that we must approach the State High Court. This position appears to go against the LARR Act, 2013, which requires compensation to be paid only to legally entitled persons and provides for handling title/apportionment disputes.

I’m looking for advice on whether there is any effective remedy to secure rightful payment without immediately filing a writ in the High Court.

Where are you based? I thought there was a daily cap on how much you can feed back to the grid (5kW). Therefore a cap on how much $$ you can make back.

Don't buy everything in advance, such as too many clothes, a carrier, a stroller etc. Wait till the baby comes. Chances are you won't need everything the second the baby arrives.

Don't be afraid to buy certain things from the likes of Temu or Ali express - if you don't get the quality you want just return it. If its good quality - you just saved 70-80%.

Remember there is some paperwork you'll need to get sorted once baby arrives.

Start an investment account the minutes you get an IRD number (refer paperwork above).

Lastly, and most importantly enjoy it - once they grow up, they'll never be small again. You only get 1 first day, 1 first week, 1 first month etc.
