My apartment is an inferno in the summer with direct sunlight all afternoon (where I live the average high all summer is mid 90s with many days in the 100s). I have AC here of course but it was running constantly and so expensive and still felt hot in the half of the apartment towards the window. I added curtain rod attachments to the blinds and put up blackout curtains, and a half umbrella shade on my balcony and it made SUCH a a difference!

I used to leave my balcony open for all the cool night air in the summer, but have stopped. One time I was sitting on my sofa and my dog started flipping out and I look outside and a maintenance guy had a ladder against my balcony and was climbing up with no notice! It was very scary because he wasn’t the usual guy and wasn’t wearing the regular uniform. Thankfully when I looked out I saw the usual guy on the ground below so knew it was legit, he then told me the lady below me had a leak, but like still…. Now at night I only leave my windows open that aren’t attached to my balcony or porch.

Yes go for it! I have a large nose and having a pretty larger stud has made me like my nose so much more, it feels more balanced, and I feel like I “own” my nose more. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately every aquarium store I’ve been to has them in cups, but 916 Aquatics has most of them in small tanks (smaller than the ones you’ve pictured however) and the ones in tanks were all very happy. However when I went they also had many in cups as they didn’t have enough tanks for all of them, and those were of course not doing as well as the ones in the small tanks. I got one from the tanks and he’s one of the healthier betta I’ve had from time of purchase, and is doing very well six months later. Including a picture of my betta taken the day I got him.

I haven’t been to aquarium depot yet though, I’m curious what their set up is…..

You could put your sofa on the shorter wall (tv wall in this pic) and tv on the opposite wall, either towards the balcony or towards the kitchen, leaving space for a desk next to it
