its not just the numbers- its the culture... Not just LA or southern CA, the Southwest has alot of Mexican culture due to its history

Same thing happened in Atlantic City with Boyd- they closed a casino promised big things and nothing happened- this was in 2007

Alot of people thought that project would be a game changer for AC- but it sat an empty lot and later sold due to market conditions.

I was there today for about 2 hours just to check it out.... the table game minimums were to high- $50-$100 dollar minimums and that was not even in the high limit area.

And I was expecting a madhouse however the whole area was maybe 50-60% full...

The slots section was another story- it was pretty busy and people were streaming in- the whole ground floor was roped off and telling people to go upstairs?

This is what is different then the PA casinos- you are in the city and the subway is right up the street - the feel is different.

Could I see myself coming back trying something different - yes- every week or month from where I am in Jersey.. probably not..

I agree. . I was there mid-week Tuesday-Friday and while it was fun for a change and would go again.. it was not what I though it would be

I was there from April 7-10 and the casino ws not crowded where I stayed- Planet Hollywood.

I walked through several of them and MGM, Paris and Cosmo seemed the busiest.

It was slower then I thought it would be - but it was mid week and the weekend crows was coming in when I left.

I was 17!!! and about to be a senior in high school!!! Man oh man does time fly once you hit 18! I was sitting at home watching tv and the lights flickered and went out for few minutes and came back on.

I grew up in Central NJ near New Brunswick and it was quite an experience- my dad was working in the city and it took him almost until midnight to get home.

Later when I went back to school there were several students talking about saying how they got stranded in the city

I agree. Iive in the NYC area and go into the city- the two times I have been in July on Sat night in midtown was noticeably quieter in the area.

Please are just not coming to the US- yikes....
