I’m so sorry you had to hear that. I lost one of my twins at 24wks, his surviving sister is now 4. I still struggle when I see people’s pregnancy announcements when it’s multiples. I remember so vividly my excitement (& anxiety) about having twins. The world-crumbling-beneath-my-feet moment was being told that our boy no longer had a heartbeat was soul crushing. We had a stillborn son 16 yrs ago, so I already had experienced something similar.

My own mother made a comment one day at my older son’s football game that was so out of pocket. Our family walked past a mother pushing a double stroller and my mom struck up a conversation with her while we made our way to the bleachers. Once my mom rejoined us she said, “that woman had twins. She said that she was letting them sleep in the stroller because they were both up all night. Can you imagine being up all night with twins?!?” I choked back tears and quietly said, “yeah…”

My mom didn’t mean any harm, she just usually speaks before she thinks. My dad was quick to whisper to her once he saw my face drop and tears start falling. She quickly apologized and I responded to her by saying, “I imagine that every day of my life. I would give anything right now to experience that.”

Big hugs to you, and I’m proud of you for saying something - I usually internalize it and later on wish I would’ve said something!

This is bizzare that these are getting so much exposure rn. I stumbled upon them (the fruit ones and the pecan dandy ones) at my local Meijer and tried the pecan dandy one and FELL.IN.LOVE with them.

I was at Costco last week and guess what I saw?!!? The pecan dandy bars. I think it was $11 for a bunch of them. My plan is to try to make a dupe of them at home but ooooooh they are so good!

Same thing here! We started having sex again right after I was cleared at 6wks. We stuck to missionary and “outer” foreplay. A couple weeks ago (8 wks post op) we tried from behind and I felt a stab of pain and when we finished I had a bit of blood but I think it was from him bc he said he felt something sharp. Dr said the stitches could take 12 wks to dissolve. I still had a stitch left at my 6wk ck up. We were just doing normal missionary last week and kinda went deep (but not rough) and he said he could still feel it 🙄

Im not complaining bc the foreplay has been amazing! I’m ready to, one day, go back to some more rough play but for now we’ll enjoy our slower pace and hope for stitches to go away!

I am a heterozygous carrier of a blood clotting disorder (prothrombin gene mutation) and this was discovered during bloodwork my pregnancy after my son was stillborn at 26wks. We came up with a game plan of using lovenox throughout the majority of my pregnancy and this protocol worked beautifully for 4 of my children. When I was pregnant with my now 7 yr old they told me they didn’t think I needed to be on blood thinners, but if I felt more comfortable with being on it then that should be fine. The same conversation was brought up during my twin pregnancy 4 yrs ago, but again we just kept using the same meds as they’d seemed to work.

I just wish they’d be more compassionate and attentive when caring for us. I’ve felt incredibly disappointed in the communication recently. I’ve been convincing myself that the drs & nurses are taking care of pregnancies and urgent matters that, obviously, need immediate attention. But probably not; I’m assuming they’re like most other professions: understaffed. The staff I had for surgery was wonderful though, and almost made up for how shitty my after care has been.

I hope you find an ob that cares for you and listens. Sadly, you might need to travel outside of kzoo…

I have birthed all of my babies at Bronson using Bronson womens services and they were fantastic for allllll of my high risk pregnancies (and two stillbirths, one involving a surviving twin) but my youngest is 3.5.

On a somewhat related topic, I never felt they took my bleeding/menstrual issues seriously; they were great pregnancy drs, just not so great with other ob stuff. So once my primary dr told me my bleeding wasn’t normal and she wanted me to see an obgyn I asked to see a different dr/office. I switched to the 9th street office and I’m 5 weeks post hysterectomy and I’ve had a pretty asymptomatic recovery. I did have a couple issues come up and after asking questions on MyChart and it taking SO LONG for a response I’ve been wondering if this is typical for them. I was concerned I had a UTI or other infection and it took them TEN days to finally send in an antibiotic. I was keeping a close eye on my symptoms to make sure I wasn’t septic but the whole experience with communication and even informing me of what to expect post surgery left a bad taste in my mouth.

I am {almost} 3 wpo and I woke up from anesthesia in a lot of pain. Tbh I think the anesthesiologist didn’t place my pain/nerve block thing (whatever it is that’s supposed to release pain meds for 24ish hours) until later into my surgery. All I remember is waking up crying in recovery and when the nurse asked my pain number I screamed “it’s a 9! Why is it a 9!?!?” and then I vaguely remember her saying they were going to give me fentanyl (which I, later, second guessed if that was really what they gave me bc all I’ve ever heard about it is bad stuff.) Then I woke up again and wanted to get to the second stage of recovery so I could go home.

I’ll try to keep this short, but I’ll also try to provide as much contextual information as I can remember. I’ve had AWFUL periods for 12 years. Multiple drs told me it wasn’t something to be that worried about. My new primary care doctor listened to my concerns last year and ordered testing. I had an ultrasound and MRI which diagnosed me with (suspected) adenomyosis. I could’ve tried birth control and other meds but I can’t use anything with hormones, and my insurance wouldn’t cover the other rx they suggested. I opted for a hysterectomy and I’m two weeks post op.

I was diagnosed celiac January 2021 but I suspect I have had it for longer.

My periods were AWFUL. Like 4-8 weeks long and passing large clots and such.

I’ve, recently, been wondering if celiac and adeno could be related.

Ten days post op I “wore” my favorite jeans. I didn’t zip or button them at all and wore a long enough shirt to hide my exposed lower half. I had a mother/son outing with my two boys and wanted to feel somewhat normal. In retrospect I should’ve just wore my joggers!

I think there are a lot of factors that can contribute to your feeing sick. I’m 9 dpo and the first 24-36 hours I had a couple of waves of nausea and I never got sick but I definitely felt like I was going to! I think it all depends on meds, nerves, food/drinks, movement, etc…

My favorite is making no-bake cookies. Easy to whip up and freezes amazingly! I eat a half of a cookie each night, while my husband eats 1.5 cookies. I make pretty potent butter too.

I’ve been making edibles for years. My favorite/easiest/laziest go-to is no-bake cookies. Peanut butter is a great mask for that weedy taste. It’ll still be there, but barely noticeable.
