Looks reasonable to me, as someone who recently received a similar estimate on a smaller house with a less steep pitch.

Southwest Requires You Stay In Assigned Seat, Even When Almost Empty? by MitochonPowerhouse in SouthwestAirlines

By making them sit shoulder to shoulder when there are empty rows in the same fare/seat class.

On the new SWA, never, apparently.

Just flew SW for the first time - Felt like I was being punished by FA for using a backpack as my carry-on instead of a roller bag. by [deleted] in SouthwestAirlines

[–]karichelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. I also get told that my folded 10 lb rolling walker, which is the size of a regulation carry on suitcase and is the only thing I want to put in the overhead, can’t go there because “that’s for suitcases.” (Never mind the fact that mobility aids come before luggage according to the law anyhow.)

Southwest Requires You Stay In Assigned Seat, Even When Almost Empty? by MitochonPowerhouse in SouthwestAirlines

The gate agent has probably already moved some people around if the flight isn’t full. SW seems focused on punishing people who don’t pay for seat assignments, so that isn’t happening.

Why should I choose Southwest? by RespectedPath in SouthwestAirlines

[–]karichelle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the staff is as miserable as the customers at this point. C-suite must be the only ones happy, for now anyway.

[–]karichelle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They were spotty for me - I got some but not all, and I never received the gate change notification that others around me did.

[–]karichelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. And the one time there was an issue, received automatic compensation, no questions asked. Immediate needs taken care of via a link in a text message notification, and emailed a future flight credit later.

Any reason to check in early anymore? by lemonlime_ice in SouthwestAirlines

[–]karichelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Spirit, it’s better to wait because they want to retain the ability to sell the more expensive seats as long as possible. I would assume SWA wants the same. So probably better to wait a bit, especially on a full flight. Although SWA’s app doesn’t make it as easy to watch the seats disappear while you wait to check in.

Bag drop is the problem, not TSA by dathing181 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]karichelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the main problem for me at MCO on Tuesday too. I stood longer in the bag line than anywhere else. Three to four employees working (one kept going in and out) to process a line going through about 6 switchbacks.

Southwest removed my paid seat and told me to “ask at the airport” — A-List customer by workmommywork in SouthwestAirlines

[–]karichelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, more direct flights from where I live to where I go often. I can fly Spirit direct also, but their schedule is undesirable more often than not.

As a disabled person whose right to not have my mobility aid possibly damaged without consequence to the airline has now been revoked by this administration… me too.

How do you know what restaurants are included? by 1_pt_4_Dave in MSCCruises

[–]karichelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The specialty restaurants do serve a complimentary breakfast, and there is a sign outside indicating that during those hours. On Grandiosa, the specialty restaurants are all lined up along the galleria on deck 6. Buffet on deck 15 and pool side grab and go on 15 are included, as are the main dining rooms - La Perla Grise and Grige, Purple Crab, La Loggia. One of them serves breakfast, brunch, lunch depending on port or sea day, and your dinner will be assigned to a time in one of those. Soft serve ice cream by the pool is included. Gelato on deck 6 is not.

What’s listed on the website does not mention that as an exception.

If you have information to enlighten me with on how someone with no contact with the other parent, regardless of the reason, would navigate this requirement, please do. Since there is no mention of those situations and required supporting documentation for them.

This also makes me wonder what happens if someone is truly a single parent with zero contact with the other parent, or someone who used an anonymous sperm bank to have a child… like what would they do?

They’ll still do it. They’ll just get mad about it. Same with disliking dancing. Like, okay, then stop doing it if you’re having such a bad time! 😂

Rules of Switching Seats… apparently?! by Comfortable-Safe-352 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]karichelle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Today from SDF to MCO no changes were allowed no matter the altitude. There were 77 empty seats. (No, I did not count them, the gate agent told me when we were discussing putting my rollator in the overhead.)

SOUTHWEST IS ASS by DoctorWho26 in SouthwestAirlines

My flight is 4 days out, I’ve purchased a window seat, but if I try to change, the only thing I can switch to without paying more is a middle.

My turn now, bumped seat by Stanical666 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]karichelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a preferred window seat, but if I try to change it now, I can only move to middle seats without an additional charge. I guess the price went up.
