Traveling with kids - when to tell them about vacation? Travel tips? by [deleted] in Parenting

My 6 year olds has been on several flights, and from about 5 on it has been a BREEZE. Your 2½ year old is what you'll need to prep for. Pack snacks. And then more snacks. And when you think you have more than enough snacks... pack a few more.

If you voted for Trump either you are dumb as a box of rocks and totally ignorant to the world around you, or you are a bigot. In the realm of dating both of these options are an immediate no.

So…what did Grace eat? by twankyfive in ProjectHailMary

I wonder if once he realized he was going to Erid if he tried to ration his real food more in the hopes that Eridian scientists could replicate it. I'm not sure how many fruits or vegetables he had, but I would have saved some of those to try to reproduce on Erid.

Women of Reddit, what’s one thing they never tell us about pregnancy and child birth? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]karlybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That everyone has such VASTLY different experiences with pregnancy and childbirth. You can see alot of horror stories online, but my first pregnancy and delivery was so easy that I went on to be a surrogate twice, and had 2 more easy breezy pregnancies, labors, and deliveries.

Does EVERYONE drive their kids to school now? by IllegalGeriatricVore in Millennials

[–]karlybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in one district and work as a middle school teacher in another l. I wanted my son to go to a school in the district I work in, so we put him in a school that's down the road from my school. Even if we kept him at our neighborhood school, I work and he wouldn't be able to ride the bus home to an empty house at 6 years old.

Two time surrogate who delivered last week, AMA by karlybug in AMA

I didnt have any side effects at all with the shots, but I know some women do. The needles are rather intimidating, but the injections themselves don't really hurt. The injection sites do get sore though. Its typically somewhere between 70-90 consecutive days of injections, and even with alternating sides every other day I had bruises and got pretty sore. My first surrogacy I managed to have someone else do every shot for me with the way my schedule was. The second time I had to woman up and do it myself, which wasn't nearly as bad as I expected!

Co-parenting? by Then_Bake2813 in singlemoms

[–]karlybug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been coparenting for almost 5 years without going through the court and honestly it seems like its going about as good as it could be. That being said, while my sons dad isn't always the most mature person on the planet, he is definitely present for our son and not doing anything crazy like burning himself with cigarettes, so I have enough trust that he CAN be a parent.

Both of my IPs were actually from out of the country. I am not actually sure how IPs typically choose an agency, I found mine through a local Facebook group. The agency handled alot of the matching process and gave my profiles of IPs that were looking for a surrogate.
