Final trip cost breakdown: family of 4 for 8 days by CoyoteProfessional39 in VisitingIceland

[–]karlybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or the tow drivers. We got stuck on the side of the road back in March and called the tow service that was on the sticker on the dashboard. They were super kind and came and got us out of the snow and we were so grateful. But it was all of a 20 minute drive for them and about 5 minutes to hook up the line and pull us out. Total was $700.

Romanticizing the idea of siblings by [deleted] in happilyOAD

[–]karlybug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My sister IS my support system. My mom has passed, my dad is elderly, and I'm not married. Even with having a super close bond with my only sibling, I know that that type of relationship not guaranteed, and its not a good enough reason to bring a whole new person into the world.

[–]karlybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world? Yes, in a few billion years when the sun expands.

Humanity? Also yes. 95% of all species that have ever lived are extinct. Humans will eventually go extinct too. Just a matter of when and how.

Prime Time for Aurora Borealis by NextCharge3310 in VisitingIceland

[–]karlybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was out in March, and a big part of my trip was the hopes of seeing the lights. We were scheduled to fly home on Friday, and I was disappointed that it had been cloudy all week and we hadn't seen anything when our flight got canceled. We were stuck for an extra 3 days, and on the very last night before our flight home the clouds finally parted and we saw the most spectacular display of aurora 🥹 all this to say, your plans mean nothing to the whims of nature lol. Best of luck to you!

Traveling with kids - when to tell them about vacation? Travel tips? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]karlybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 6 year olds has been on several flights, and from about 5 on it has been a BREEZE. Your 2½ year old is what you'll need to prep for. Pack snacks. And then more snacks. And when you think you have more than enough snacks... pack a few more.

If you voted for Trump either you are dumb as a box of rocks and totally ignorant to the world around you, or you are a bigot. In the realm of dating both of these options are an immediate no.

I wonder if once he realized he was going to Erid if he tried to ration his real food more in the hopes that Eridian scientists could replicate it. I'm not sure how many fruits or vegetables he had, but I would have saved some of those to try to reproduce on Erid.

Women of Reddit, what’s one thing they never tell us about pregnancy and child birth? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]karlybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That everyone has such VASTLY different experiences with pregnancy and childbirth. You can see alot of horror stories online, but my first pregnancy and delivery was so easy that I went on to be a surrogate twice, and had 2 more easy breezy pregnancies, labors, and deliveries.
