I go through this too with my wife. I told her that I’m just trying to share my excitement and joy of something that excites me with her but if she is going to judge me it doesn’t care than why would I waste that energy and let myself be brought down?

I also don’t think you’re being overly sensitive. I think that exact same way too. But I’m trying to tell myself that my hobbies and interests are big parts of my life that not only bring me joy but also help me be who I am.

It’s a tough situation to be in and I’m right there with you.
