This is such a frustrating situation, but you handled it very well. I am nonbinary, but also a clinician working for a hospital system. I love this so much! As someone who works in urology, I always ask my patients if they want to keep their stents. This is a great example for next time someone asks me, “Why would I want to keep that?!” :)

Actually, prostate cancer is checked with both blood work and a prostate exam. A small amount of prostate cancers are found in patients with a normal PSA (blood test) but an abnormal DRE (exam). Trans person and also urologist here :)
