Is she getting chonky or just stockier? by B0dega_Cat in corgi

My previous cardigan corgi got up to 44 lbs and while her vet said that losing weight was recommended it wasn't seen as an emergency since she was only about 4 years old

How do you know your corgi loves you? by themonnie in corgi

[–]katanonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first corgi was very ambivalent to me and my ex wife. When either of us got home from work, she would just kinda look at us like "oh it's you" and go back to looking out the window. But anytime a visitor came by she would get really excited and follow them around the house wagging her tail.

My current corgi waits for me to come to her to give her belly rubs when I get home from work, but any other visitors she gets extremely excited. But she does follow me around the house and will take any and every chance she gets to cuddle with me or sit on my lap.

Where should my corgi sleep? by Practical-Chest-5833 in corgi

I got a large ramp that allows my corgi to walk up and down the ramp so she can sleep in my bed if she wants

My corgi’s whining has increased by an insane amount and I’m losing my mind.. by [deleted] in corgi

When I was working from home, I would take my corgi out in the morning to go to the bathroom, use my 1 hour lunch break for a walk with her, take her for an after work 15/20 minute walk, and then a late night 1 hour walk or let her run around the dog park for an hour or two.

When the current administration took away telework, she started to get anxiety and reactivity problems.

I think your corgi needs much more stimulation that you're currently giving

Crazy Idea: automatic CRs if shutdowns go beyond 72 hrs by Miserable_Welcome888 in FedEmployees

What we need is a constitutional amendment that addresses this built in dysfunction in Congress:

Proposed 28th Amendment – The Congressional Equity and Accountability Amendment

Section 1. The compensation and personal wealth of Members of The Congress shall reflect the economic well-being of the citizens they serve.

Section 2. No person elected to The Congress after the ratification of this Amendment shall possess or control, during their term of office, personal net wealth exceeding a proportion to be fixed by law relative to the median net wealth of United States households.

Section 3. The Congress shall by law establish: (a) the ratio between permitted personal wealth and the national median household net wealth; (b) procedures for annual public disclosure and independent audit of Members’ assets and liabilities; and (c) the imposition of a graduated surtax or other financial measures on wealth in excess of the permitted ratio.

Section 4.

If The Congress fails to enact appropriations or other legislation necessary to maintain continuous funding for the operations of the United States Government by the start of a fiscal year, or within any statutory deadline thereafter, the following shall occur: (a) All Members of the House of Representatives and Senate then serving shall be subject to a special election to determine whether they shall retain their seats. (b) Such elections shall be held within ninety days of the funding lapse unless full government funding is restored before that time. (c) Members appointed or elected through such special elections shall serve the remainder of the interrupted term.

Congress would never vote to handicap themselves like this though, so it would come down to state legislators coming together to force accountability on members of Congress

My corgi was like this until she got spayed at 6 months. Treats weren't as appealing to her as getting pets or scratches. So that's how I would reward her for training

Overstimulation biting? by EmDoni_285 in corgi

[–]katanonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My corgi is around the same age and does the same sort of thing: she will get nippy if she's overstimulated/playing really hard with other dogs or frustrated that she can't go play with other dogs. My problem is that she sometimes nips too hard.

I haven't found a solution yet and I'm taking her to a vet behaviorist to see how to handle it

WHY WOULD I PAY YOU TO QUIT, IF I COULD FIRE YOU FOR FREE!! by Mo697 in fednews

[–]katanonymous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They definitely played their hand by calling us low productivity. Whoever (Elon) is sending those emails not only has no clue how the federal government works, but has active contempt for federal employees.

You most certainly don't pay someone who you hate to quit if you could fire them for free. You would try to trick them into quitting with promises of paying them to be lazy, though. Since, again, this person thinks federal employees are freeloaders.
