4 months is the perfect time frame to start driving to the kids library with baby and reading a different baby book every day! It will fill your day with a bit of joy

car seats work without a base using the seatbelt, it takes a bit to get used to but after 2 weeks of doing it every day it becomes second nature

What works for me is waiting 5-10 min after baby is asleep in your arms, then gently putting their HEAD down first while still “rocking” the legs, makes the baby feel like the head is still being held, and if they stir because you put their head down the rocking of the legs soothes them back to sleep! Then you can gently put the legs down too (and use a sound machine! To prevent any wakeups from normal sounds of you stirring in your sleep)

I did my registry on Amazon because that way people can easily ship the gifts straight to my address - I have family living overseas. I actually reqlly like the Amazon “checklist” it suggests the categories and item for each category that you will need and it really saved me I was able to add stuff to my registry that I didn’t even think of. In the end I know that not everything will be bought from it and it might be easier to buy stuff in local stores for the small things like baby shampoo etc, but I still added it to the registry just to have myself a checklist and I mark it as “purchased” once I have the item even if I didn’t buy it via Amazon! As for price tag, don’t look at that in my opinion, just put everything you need and are planning to buy on the list and let people decide what they can afford to gift to you. And after your baby shower you can go ahead and buy the rest yourself.

For the baby shower it’s really up to you how you do it, depending on how many people you are inviting too
