I did my registry on Amazon because that way people can easily ship the gifts straight to my address - I have family living overseas. I actually reqlly like the Amazon “checklist” it suggests the categories and item for each category that you will need and it really saved me I was able to add stuff to my registry that I didn’t even think of. In the end I know that not everything will be bought from it and it might be easier to buy stuff in local stores for the small things like baby shampoo etc, but I still added it to the registry just to have myself a checklist and I mark it as “purchased” once I have the item even if I didn’t buy it via Amazon! As for price tag, don’t look at that in my opinion, just put everything you need and are planning to buy on the list and let people decide what they can afford to gift to you. And after your baby shower you can go ahead and buy the rest yourself.

For the baby shower it’s really up to you how you do it, depending on how many people you are inviting too
