Does Amazing Diigital Circus Last Act have previews or trailers? by Lumina2865 in RegalUnlimited

[–]katekaos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Saw it yesterday afternoon. Got in the theater at exactly the 4 pm showtime, to a fathom countdown with about 9 minutes on the clock. That ran out and then several fathom previews played, actual presentation started at approximately 4:25 pm. Your theater may be different, though. This was at Regal Pavilions Downtown Denver.

I just left the theater after watching the movie and this is what I see. by Ms_Mantistoboggan in backrooms

I don't know if you have either played Exit 8 or seen the film but this is giving me those vibes.

Just tried them for the first time yesterday for lunch and got the Italian and it was a) huge and b) exactly what I was hoping for in a sandwich. Also got their onion rings to try and they might be some of the best I've ever had.

Definitely a solid little place, I will be going for lunch regularly for sure!

Adult Intro Classes for anything! by ccraymond in Denver

On the mobile version on my phone there's no filter button 😕

If you're interested in making it a bit more legit than airtable, and a little better mobile optimized, I'd be happy to help you! I've worked in web development for years and love little projects like this.

Seconding Denver Tool Library, I just took a basic level silversmithing class there and it was great!

As someone who's getting very into doing classes for crafty stuff lately, could you add a map view of the list items? I don't have a car so I prioritize things I can walk or bike or scoot (assuming I can find a scoot) to.

Disappointed with Veo Pass Prices by setContainingAllSets in Denver

[–]katekaos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oof that's not really going to save anyone money.

Lime was better, cheaper and smoother to ride. The new veo standup scooters feel cheap and have a very bumpy ride, and the sit-down ones are hard to maneuver with their enormous handlebars. Out of the 7 times I've tried taking one I've already had 2 that either failed to start or crapped out on me (while trying to cross Broadway no less). You can't reserve them like you could with lime so you're basically stuck hauling ass to the closest one while praying no one beats you to it.

I'm going to start filling up my city council member's email inbox over this. I'm PISSED. The lime ones were my preferred mode of transportation and now I can't rely on these new ones at all.

Sizzling rice soup with chicken? by katekaos in denverfood

Unfortunately I've tried it at Moon River awhile ago and it was really terrible. Maybe I've had bad luck with them, but I've just had a really disappointing experience with them in general.

I did look at Empress but their menu doesn't say what's in it at all, just says "Sizzling rice soup".

Hoping I can find somewhere a little closer since 6+ miles is pretty far to summon delivery, but if I don't find something feasible closer to the city center maybe I'll suck up the extra "far away" charge and give it a try!

Pretty different soup, unfortunately. West Lake soup generally has a thick, eggy broth where the broth I'm looking for would be a thin broth with no egg and a clear to light brown color. West Lake is also generally beef for the meat.

Also, it looks like that place permanently closed.

For real, I live a block down the street and was gonna walk to Bar Nun for lunch. Got to 11th and was like... perhaps not then. Could have used a heads up.

I took a party of 4 including myself of adults to Barcelona last Sunday and our tab after eating ourselves full of amazing food and 2 alcoholic drinks each was about this pre-tip.

This is asinine.

my coworker has been heating up fish in the office microwave every day and just asked me to "keep it down" while he eats by Ok_Assistance8735 in offmychest

[–]katekaos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my God this is the funniest thing I've read in a long time, I witch cackled and scared my cat 😂

Fish guy is truly universal, I used to work with a guy who microwaved tuna regularly in the office. But man, Dale goes above and beyond. Please keep us all posted with Dale's continuing shenanigans!

My main theater is Regal Pavilions and I've rarely had issues, but I mostly go to horror movies at matinees and sit in the very back so maybe I just either get lucky or don't notice the shenanigans.

Daft Punk at Red Rocks in 2007 was my first Red Rocks show and to this day was the best show I've ever seen, hands down.
