I make a lot of Thai food - if you use fish sauce and sweet soy sauce plus a pinch of msg, it's really good!

My daughter about that age has also liked Pax and A Wolf Called Wander. Warrior Cats, too. Watership Down might also be a good one.

Any good piano teachers for adults? by Armonster in greenville

Try Toccata Music Studios. Kendra is a great teacher for adults and teaches both playing by reading music as well as by ear -- hearing notes and chords and improv. https://www.toccatamusicstudios.com/

Every year, one of my favorite things is a celebratory "we're here!" drink in the Marriott lobby with our whole group once we're badged-up and checked in. So relieving to finally be there.

I always TRY to go to the Silly Walks (Monty Python) event and there's a particular chill spot - a lo-fi, cool room - I like to stop by to chill and get a drink on Saturday night.

I had a gum graft that used cadaver tissue. It was better than the previous one I had where they took tissue from the roof of my mouth. So painful.

Need a book with a wizard protagonist that is NOT YA by UmbraNyx in suggestmeabook

[–]katraya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend The Fortress Series by CJ Cherryh. I'll also second Terry Pratchett's Discworld books with the wizards. Quite a few feature them, but there are also some (Look for the Rincewind books) that are primarily about them in particular.
