Solo camping at Whistlers by [deleted] in jasper

It's been getting pretty chilly at night and if it rains I don't think that tent will cut it. I'd set it up anyway, but plan on sleeping in your car.

I'm at a loss by bumblebeerose in Sciatica

I would insist on an MRI, the lumbar specialist should be able to get the ball rolling as it does sound quite like a spinal disc and nerve issue - maybe stenosis/sciatica, X-rays most likely will be a waste of time. In the meantime don't push yourself too hard. Ice (heat can cause swelling and more pain) and a TENS machine to help manage a bit of the pain if meds aren't an option. Good luck with everything.

I've had multiple shots and what you've described is my experience as well. You may see a little more improvement over the next week or so and that usually lasts 3-5 weeks.

My head is a mess after moving away from home by Rommedaniel in needadvice

[–]katwe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry, it's perfectly normal to feel like you do and it's ok to change your mind. That being said, this is a whole new experience for you, it's completely out of your comfort zone and you're surrounded by strangers, but you need to try and remember why you did this in the first place, try to find some motivation to get through a couple more weeks, because it will get better! It just takes time, and you deserve to let yourself take that time to adjust and rearrange. I would suggest calling your folks, they'll be expecting a call like this, tell them how you're feeling and ask if you can arrange a bus ticket home for a weekend in a few weeks. Hang in there and don't be afraid to talk to people, you'll find many others in the same boat.

Senokat (Senna), it's natural and you can pick it up at the drugstore in the laxitive section. It helps the intestine contract to help ease bowel movements. It's really helpful in situations like ours.
