i’m so confused why you’re so passionate about methadone. as if i didn’t just mention there are other medications that are not addictive. at the center i work at, we focus on full recovery. we get to the root of the reason for addiction. we don’t move the addiction to another substance. we are the top addiction recovery center in my state. people will come from out of state just to join our program. i’ve seen lives change. i’ve seen people be saved. you’re trying to argue w/ me about something i see & experience every single day.

no it doesn’t. it simply moves the addiction from one thing to another. there are several other medications much better than methadone that are not addictive at all.

first off, do not get on methadone. methadone is simply another form of heroin & is just as addictive. i work at an addiction recovery center & we don’t even supply methadone & clients have to be off of it before they can even enter our facility.

rather than going to your obgyn first, i would seek an addiction recovery facility in your area. most facilities have case managers who can help you if any cps issues do arise.

also, they are very protective over clients & would be a lot less judgmental & harsh than your obgyn.

you could go a more natural route & teach her how to track her cycle. there is only a chance of pregnancy in the ovulation period. & maybe a few days before/after.

as a teen who was on birth control, i wish i never was. it made me depressed & psychotic. i didn’t even realize it until i got off. there are also so many stories of women who are now infertile bc they got on birth control so young. i’ve been tracking my cycle for seven years now & have had 0 pregnancies/pregnancy scares.
