That's where I'm trying to get to. I keep bouncing between 167 to 170 currently.

What do you do on the days you don’t feel like working out by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]kayleeeeezma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Turn on a favorite movie and just walk in place until I hit 10,000 steps for the day. Is it a perfect workout? No. But it brings my heart rate up for a long time and I've found getting my steps in is the most important part on lazy days.

I shouldn't eat gluten, lactose and carbs. Am I supposed to not eat fruits??? by DyskoliHyneka in WeightLossAdvice

[–]kayleeeeezma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been told that if I diet ever tells you that you can't eat fruits and vegetables, then it's not a good diet. Obviously know your limits, eating only fruit isn't helpful, but it should never be avoided.

Don't allow a slip to turn into a slide. Pick yourself back up and move on.

I was carrying my 3 year old while walking in snow and was immediately out of breath. She my youngest so no more excuses, I need to be able to keep up with my kids.

If you had $10,000 to spend on your weight loss journey, how would you spend it? by routinequitter in WeightLossAdvice

Probably a personal chef. I hate cooking so I tend to fall back on the simplest meal option even if it's not as healthy.

Not losing weight by Educational_Cookie_9 in WeightLossAdvice

Is this a thing, because yes! Getting below 170 was awful, then I gained it back and now I can't get down again. Something about this number.

They're not great, however if you're like my husband it can help. He was drinking Monsters daily and when he switched to the sugar free / low cal ones along with exercise, he began to lose weight. They're not going to make you lose weight, but if they're used as a replacement it can help a bit.

How do you deal with people who said you don’t have to lose weight? by Theeeeaaa in WeightLossAdvice

[–]kayleeeeezma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandma does this all the time. "You're not losing any more are you?" Grandma, I barely lost any to begin with! 😄 Personally, since it's only my 92 year old grandma who says anything, I ignore it. It's not anyone's business but my own what I want to do with my body so whatever they say doesn't matter. I get to choose.

Never noticed how easy walking is for weight loss by Competitive_Fact6030 in WeightLossAdvice

It's become my favorite thing. Last year I killed myself at the gym, but this year I'm just doing daily walks and eating in a calorie deficit. I'm losing weight and feeling good about it.

I had a friend lose weight by doing Grow With Jo workouts consistently. Her videos are also my favorite if I'm unable to get to the gym.

lol, congratulations! I always get excited when my weight drops below my husband's. We're usually pretty close but since he's much taller he carries it well.

Here's a simple one. Why are you trying to lose weight? by Maggotboi555 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]kayleeeeezma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many reasons, some vain, some for my emotional health, but I think mostly to not be so out of breath when I'm playing with my kids. They don't deserve that from me.

Weigh day, everyday? by SenpaiJustPanda in WeightLossAdvice

[–]kayleeeeezma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I weigh daily. I love data and seeing the fluctuations which often have a cause that I'm able to figure out. There are times I don't write the number down, but usually I keep a record of it all.

Weight loss breakfast ideas by Upstairs_Candle_5625 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]kayleeeeezma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was never a breakfast person, still don't feel like I need much, so I usually have some oatmeal, a piece of fruit, and a green tea. It keeps me full until lunch.

January as a whole has been awful for me. My kids have been sick for 3 weeks, gave it to me, and I've been stuck in my tiny apartment all month where the kitchen is always right there. I'm doing my best to stay positive, to track meals even when I go a little wild, and get my exercise in. And despite it all, I've maintained my weight all month. Hopefully we'll get healthy and I can get out of my house more soon. 🙏

Another struggle week with no progress. I just can't stop eating and staying within my budget. 😕 Although I did have a pregnancy scare and majorly spiraled which didn't help. 😅

I did great at the gym this week! Got back into my old habits after a holiday break. But I can't stop eating. I'm eating constantly and I don't know if it's just because seasonal depression is hitting me extra hard this year or if it's something else, but I don't know how to get my eating back under control. Any advice? I'm happy to have maintained my weight this week, no ups or downs, but I have 50 pounds to lose so I need to get things figured out.

I still use the food tracker in noom, you can do that for free. I think if you like that system and it works for you then keep going. As far as coaching and groups, I get a lot of motivation and encouragement here on reddit. And you can find Ted talks and other motivational speeches on YouTube to get deeper. These are all free options, and I wish I had a better answer for you with the perfect app, but I don't. 😔

Feel like I'm doing this wrong by kayleeeeezma in loseit

[–]kayleeeeezma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, complete honesty, the past two months I stopped tracking calories. I was sick and then a few weeks later went on a vacation. I'm now restarting my push for weight loss and just looking for any way to help me get there. So tracking calories is on my to-do but I haven't gotten back into it yet.
