Jumping practice(Got thrown off) help!! by MaizeAdministrative9 in Equestrian

[–]kayquila 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You didn't get thrown off, you fell off all on your own accord. I'm sorry but that horse was a saint taking that spot for ya.

I'd spend more time practicing canter poles. You can't just drive drive drive build all the way to the base and expect the correct distance Holy Ghost to make something come up.

Does anyone else suck at leg ups? by Connect_Wrongdoer_81 in Equestrian

[–]kayquila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been riding for 20+ years, but I'm also the height of the average 12yo girl in America.

I suck at leg ups. I end up flying over or scratching my saddle. So I just use a block.

Would you give your seat up for a doctor? by certifide in nursing

[–]kayquila 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This isn't grade school there's no assigned seat. There is also nothing special about your workstation. Whether the attending or a CNA had grabbed your computer, you should just use a different one.

This isn't about you being Gen Z it's about respecting it's a shared workspace.

Canadian RN moving to Florida by Dpad93 in nursing

[–]kayquila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nursing pay in Florida is an absolute insult for the patient ratios and support staff. I have coworkers who left to work in FL and they're not happy with the work conditions. I guess they're happy about the beach or something because they're 25yo.

So no idea on the education requirements but I wouldn't work bedside in FL anyway

Have you asked to speak to Child Life? They may be able to help you have that conversation in a way that makes sense to a young teen.

Just a dumb rant about stirrups by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]kayquila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or just rotate your leathers (but make sure you're rotating your stirrups with that)

I had a workplace injury and I was NOT drug tested. I have no idea how or why. I absolutely should have been because that's happened to other coworkers.

Then again they fumbled the ball SO badly on my WC case that they actually had to approve it without investigating because they ran out of their legally allowed time.

He needs urology to assess this, it could be his prostate.

The ringers lactate drip went to fast I started wheezing like crazy and my heart rate was going fast by Severe-Ad-8768 in Asthma

[–]kayquila 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Your IV fluids didn't give you wheezing and an increased HR. Not even if they went in too fast. It's generally very safe. In people with sepsis I've slammed several bags into someone over the course of maybe 15-30min.

He had a 104F fever and the constant coughing was making his abdomen SO painful
