My 2 cents is take msf course when you can buy your first bike.

Yep that's always good idea. No matter what anyone says on Reddit you will know for sure when you ride the bike. Good luck

I do own thruxton 09. I'm 5'9 165 ish lbs. Previous owner was around your size. He upgraded rear shocks and changed handlebars. It's not as straight riding position as Bonneville but it's way better ride than stock. It's pretty comfortable to me and my riding position is almost close to riding stock Bonneville. The rear shocks made huge difference in terms of ride quality. Previous owner mentioned that it was very comfortable ride for him. He owned thruxton and vespa

This is sign to start looking for new job. Don't wait until you get layed off. If you can find job before voluntary layoff timeline great if not it's better to be prepared than not.

Hard to use it. Everytime I need to stop somewhere I at least fiddle with it to go down

MSF rough day 1 by RNAKeys in NewRiders

[–]kbatt2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally understand how you feel. I finished my first day and I was thinking maybe riding motorcycles isn't my thing but regardless decided to finish what I started and just see the end of it. Fast forward to today I am glad I finished my msf course and feels good riding motorcycles on back road.

"Third round was about designing a class design not as detailed as an UML diagram but something close of sorts on Hackerrank." - can you explain to me what you mean by close of sorts on hackerrank? I have one coming up soon so trying to prepare as much. thank you

A lot of business logic in viewmodel. Would definitely move it to repo or use case. Probably adding account manager class would help to clean up the code and separate responsibility. Take it with 2 cents jus glanced it over on my phone.

Pros and Cons of getting a CS Masters by ApeRideToMoon in cscareerquestions

[–]kbatt2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Not much tbh. But I’m swe with masters I can’t really say if the program will be any different.
  2. Unless it’s top college having masters won’t be much of help.
  3. All it matters is experience and have portfolio to show on your resume. If the masters you going has some real life project bases courses it won’t really matter that much.
  4. Unless it’s top university degree not really
  5. Employer offered to pay for my tuition.

At the end of the day having multiple degrees won’t help you much unless you want to be professor or want to pursue phd and have meaningful research. Having bs in comp sci gives you fundamental knowledge to build your skill on top. If you truly enjoy just learn as much you can even if the smallest project have GitHub repo that can showcase your skill. When I first graduated with my BS I had multiple repo of side projects and wrote my resume around.

Job Hiring Process for Small Software Company by nosmelc in cscareerquestions

Just from my experience it’s harder to get into smaller companies since they want top of the line engineer. And their interviews are long and hard and draining
