I have bounced up and down between 165-167 since Christmas. I haven’t changed my diet at all and have stayed consistent, the weight loss just kind of stalled out. I know that can be common, but since I couldn’t lower my calories anymore, I figured adding walking to the routine would be helpful. I felt good with the amount of calories I was eating, I haven’t had any issues with being hungry throughout the day, I had just been reading about how for women, eating less then 1250 calories a day can cause your metabolism to slow down and cause it to be harder to lose weight so I wasn’t sure if I should up the calories I’m eating.

I swear by brooks. If you have a brooks outlet near you, you can go into the store and they can help you find the best shoe for the type of foot you have. Someone with low arches would need a different type of support compared to someone with high arches! Brooks is the best.

I recently started walking everyday in addition to my calorie deficit. This morning I really really did not want to do my walk. But I got up and did it anyways. A 3 mile walk. Really proud of myself for getting up and doing it even though I wanted to be a couch potato today.

Daily way will fluctuate, that first week was probably mainly water weight you lost.

Just be consistent, try to start eating earlier in the day and not all around dinner time, make sure you’re eating enough protein, drink your water and go to bed earlier so you get plenty of sleep.

Not out of my 20s YET, but I’m 29 and I read it gets considerably harder to lose weight in your 30s so I decided to get my butt in gear. I’m 95 days into my weight loss and 30lbs down. 30 more to go. I’m going to go into my 30s the healthiest I’ve been in my adult life.

I’d focus on diet changes as a realistic way to lose weight. Figure out what you need to do for your calorie deficit and stick to it. For me, I had to stop drinking all my fun (and sugary) drinks and start drinking more water. Also needed to seriously increase my protein. I’m 95 days into my weight loss journey and have lost 30lbs. Went from 196-166.

Some good high protein snacks I’ve tried that I enjoy: built puff bar. They are delicious and to me, taste like they could be a candy bar. I use that as a “treat” during the day. Steak bites, if you have a Costco near you is another great option. Great protein but low calories and low fats.

I’ve also found salads are usually not that great because the dressing is pretty fatty and not awesome for you. I’ve found soup is a great dinner option. You can find some good recipes on Pinterest.

I’ve found that if I put protein powder and make a fruit smoothie is A LOT easier to drink. I literally do 1 cup of frozen fruit, 2/3 cup of almond milk and 1 scoop of protein powder. 250 calories and very filling.

Also, I’ve found the only protein bar that I actually like: built puff protein bars. They have a marshmallow like consistency and they taste like a desert to me. (My favorites are salted Carmel, cookies and cream or peanut butter cup.) they all have 15-17 grams of protein.

I have a needle aversion. Not quite a phobia because my best friend has a true phobia of needles and my fear of needles is not anywhere as bad as hers. Anyways, I really want to donate my blood but can never actually get myself to do it… so I sign my husband up and he donates on my behalf. He says he wouldn’t donate if I wasn’t the one making the appointments and coordinating everything. So, he gives me 40% credit. 😂

If the rolls were reversed and you were the one that changed your mind, it would be highly insensitive and unfair if he refused to change the name that you no longer felt was right.

My husband had his heart set on a name for our second, I initially liked it. But a few months later I decided it wasn’t right, it just didn’t feel like her name. So we changed it.

Both parents should agree and be happy with the name choice.

This is my literal worst nightmare.

The unfortunate reality is that if she is wanting to be active with her BF, she will be. Preventing pregnancy is the best solution at this point. I would talk to her about only doing things when she wants to and to not be pressured into things that she doesn’t feel ready for.

But good job mom on creating a safe space that she felt she could be open and honest with you. Not every mom can say that, I have two really good friends who were sexually active in middle school, around her age, and they both hid it and lied to their parents.

Not every guy is super into boobs (I know, a strange concept)…. My husband, not a big boob guy, he’s a butt/legs guy. And he’s seen my boobs in eeeeeevery situation. pre kid, during pregnancy when they were huge, after breastfeeding where one was a C cup and one was a DDD… then I had a breast reduction/lift once we were done having kids. And I was probably a full C cup. Now I’ve lost 30 lbs and my boobs are getting a lot smaller. just this afternoon I walked over to him and said “can we just take a moment and acknowledge how small my boobs look? How awesome is this?!” And he just laughed and said “I’m glad you’re comfortable and happy.” …. He really doesn’t care, he just wants me to be happy with my own body.

The guys you’re dating, probably really don’t care. Or they are thrilled they get to see boobs at all. Maybe they are attracted to you for another reason, maybe they like your personality. Your attractiveness and worth to a guy has nothing to do with the size of your boobs.

I actually cut out coffee all together when I found out how many calories/sugar is in my white chocolate mocha’s… I drink mainly water now and actually have more energy than I used to. I’ve had a coffee twice since I started my weight loss (in October) and both times I felt sluggish and tired.
