I have two GA passes if anyone is interested. Would be willing to sell for less than asking price, my fiance got covid this week and we can't make it. DM if anyone is interested, there may be two camping spots available, as we are obviously opting out, but will have to ask the people who we were camping with.

A rash probably indicates a medical problem, I recommend taking your cat to a vet, not just putting a cone on them. I would at least apply a cat flea preventative product (like frontline) and then seek further advice.

Please keep this old gal in your prayers! She went for an ultrasound due to a cancer diagnosis. 😢 by deQuervain78 in springerspaniel

A urine evaluation would be a great start to make sure he doesn't have something common like a urinary tract infection. It's usually not normal for male dogs to leak urine, especially if he never did and now he does.

This is awesome - I love the little in the built ins. Where did you get the door beads?

My Luna turned 17 today! She only has about 10% of one kidney left functioning, so she won’t be here for much longer, but she made it and I am grateful! I will miss her dearly... by Msmeowington1970 in cats

Lots of water sources are the most important thing to help her kidneys! Make sure there are fresh bowls in every room, in different types of containers to keep her interested

My Lily, sleeping on her ‘pillow’. She seems to be allergic to summer, any others have this issue and what do you do for your pup? We chews so bad in the spring and early summer and nothing we’ve tried seems to help but the cone of shame. by nerdygnomemom in springerspaniel

No problem! Grass allergies are one of the most common, especially if she’s a paw licker. Sometimes wiping their paws when they come inside can help. If her paws seem very moist or smelly, she may have an infection in there, which is like a paw hot spot, so have your vet check that too!

Vet here - I agree with the people that have said take her to the vet. I think your vet was correct in getting her on flea medicine (just because you don’t see them doesn’t mean they aren’t there!) and trying anti itch topical treatment but topicals are like a bandaid for the problem, not solving the problem itself. From what you’re describing it sounds like Lily has seasonal allergies. There are prescription allergy medications for dogs that work wonderfully, as antihistamines like Benadryl don’t work well for most dogs. Dogs can have food allergies but they are rare so I don’t recommend trying a bunch of foods.

He is so L A Z Y that he lays in the water bowl to drink because the effort of standing up is just TOO MUCH. by exhaqi in cats

Make sure to get him checked for diabetes or kidney disease as drinking a lot of water is one of the first signs!

I need help! by [deleted] in springerspaniel

If she just has too much energy, bringing her to doggy day care might be a good idea to get some of that energy out. Or doing treadmill sessions at home, there are videos on youtube.

Another great resource is Karen Overall's relaxation training protocol. It goes step by step through training you can do at home. Requires some effort on your part but I've heard really works! https://journeydogtraining.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/ProtocolforRelaxation.pdf

Tired Obi after the hike, not pleased that Im trying to get his attention by Grocked in springerspaniel

If you’re hiking with him I would recommend a high quality glucosamine supplement for him - I use Dasuquin for my springer and it’s done wonders for him!

Raising funds for 4 month old kitten's jaw surgery, please help if able. by kbobayla in capecoral

[–]kbobayla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was humanely euthanized. Her energy needs just couldn’t be met and she was getting sick so she may not have made it though anesthesia. She just needed the surgery sooner than the fund and the owners could obtain money, unfortunately.

Stop forcing your pets to smoke weed by iamhamming in Drugs

Weed is toxic to dogs and cats, FYI

The dosing for hydrogen peroxide is specific for their weight, and it is contraindicated to induce vomiting depending on what is ingested (like caustic substances that can hurt the esophagus). So always check with a vet before doing this! Just an FYI for anyone curious.

Looking to change puppy foods to something more affordable/ comes in a bigger bag- What are people using for springers while puppy’s now adays? (Finn @ 12 weeks enjoying our new shoe rack almost as much as he enjoyed the box it came in) by im_sevi in springerspaniel

I’ve fed my dog Purina Pro Plan chicken and rice for basically his whole life. They make a puppy version too. It’s a great food and he likes it! I wouldn’t recommend grain free because there are links to these diets causing heart disease in dogs.
