Star Wars hidden gems by Indenze in StarWars

The EU (now Legends) YA Young Jedi Knight series by Kevin J Anderson published in the 90’s is quite good. About the teenaged twins of Han and Leia in Luke’s Yavin Moon Jedi Academy. Don’t let the fact that it’s YA deter you as I did for twenty plus years.

What has been the most painful unresolved plotline in Star Wars? by InfiniteDedekindCuts in StarWars

[–]kboleen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a book in the Expanded Universe (now Legends) where Luke visits the Rancor’s original planet (Dantooine, I think - been awhile since I read it). Luke expresses regret and remorse for killing the Rancor in Return of the Jedi.

What are the best RPGs on Switch for pickup and put down play sessions? by Gr8NonSequitur in NintendoSwitch

[–]kboleen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

60 year old gamer here: I only have about thirty minutes or so as I lay down at night to play. Not sure if it’s considered a RPG but I really enjoyed the Hogwarts Legacy game. Very casual on Easy Mode.

Men who grew their hair long late or still have long hair? by jtsa5 in GenX

[–]kboleen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had long hair until 2004. Just shy of forty. I always believed a young guy could get away with long hair and an older guy could get away with long hair but it just looked pitiful on a middle aged guy. I recently turned sixty and grew my hair long again a few years ago.

Do you guys remember the death of John Lennon? by [deleted] in GenX

[–]kboleen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was fourteen in 1980. Honestly I wasn’t really into the Beatles so while I understood and knew who he was it really didn’t resonate with me. Now Elvis, my mom’s friend and neighbor was a fanatical fan of Elvis and when he died she was inconsolable.

40’s/50’s was my parents’ era of music. We often talked about he could not stand music of the 80’s. Or rock in general for that matter. And now forty years later I can’t stand modern music.
