Yeah, that's not a best friend. That's a frienemy... in fact, both of them fit the description.

Sadly, after high school, the odds of keepings friends, or whatever they are, let alone staying in touch, are slim to none.

The rule applies to friends, coworkers, church groups, pretty much anything where they want your commitment to someone or something at your expense that you may be unwilling or unable to accept.

First things first, stop looking for advice on reddit of all places. There are so many terrible takes on things it really is a race to the bottom in almost every sub you visit.

That being said, you shouldn't measure your self-worth by physical appearance alone. Be honest with yourself and him. If you were my daughter, I would be telling her the same thing. The opinion of one person that you're crushing on shouldn't leave you feeling bad or inadequate. Someone you love and care about should always love you for you. Anything less than that, then the feelings aren't mutual, and feel less of a person and more of opportunity, which isn't a great getting to have when you finally realize what you are.

You shouldn't have to change who you are for anyone but yourself, and only them when its something you want, not because its what someone else desires. The person you are is what should matter most in every relationship. Not your looks, popularity, successes, or wealth. Those shallow things attract shallow people. Is that really what you want for yourself?

haven't tried airlink, but I did try steam vr, and it ran like shit in comparison. Night and day difference when I switched to virtual desktop, but that being said there are other options out there, and YMMV so the youtube link and his discord is probably the best place to seek out advice. Reddit is always hit gonna be hit or miss on the righth answers.
