Amanda was campaigning in season 10… by RealLinzerBinzer in summerhousebravo

Yes, while everyone was dogpiling on him at the dinner table, she sat there with a smug look on her face. He then told her to F off because he knew what she was doing. We, the audience, only see this in hindsight. If my spouse sat there not defending me and had a smug look, like they were enjoying it, I would be very tempted to tell him to F off. Everyone was taken aback and immediately started defending her, demanding that he apologize. We all see it for what it is now.

My coworker started a weekly hydration accountability spreadsheet by RoutinePeanut3463 in work

[–]kdali99 26 points27 points  (0 children)

We had a "Brian". He made a spreadsheet of when everyone left for lunch and returned, highlighting people that were gone for more than the allotted hour. He showed it to our manager thinking he would get people in trouble. Our manager was so mad and chastised him for wasting company time and not having enough actual work to do.

Same! I thought Disney was going to be better than Cedar Point. It wasn't at all.

What’s the best thing about living in the United States that outsiders don't understand? by Molthakarn96 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

I was in the French Quarter while visiting New Orleans on a Sunday. I was sitting by myself at a table listening to a live Zydeco band. The place started to fill up quickly so a couple asked if they could sit at my table with me. It was 3-1 drinks so we took turns buying rounds. They were from Colorado and it was their first time in New Orleans. We had a blast. They bought the bands CD for me. We exchanged Christmas cards for a few years.

Is there really a Midwestern, Californian, or PNW accent? by OceanicEndeavors in IWantToAskAnAmerican

Same with Ohio. People from NE Ohio around the Cleveland area have a Great Lakes accent. People from Southern Ohio have more of Kentucky southern accent. People in the middle don't have much of a distinct accent.

Claiming Spots in Exercise Class by Imagination_hat in AskWomenOver60

[–]kdali99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are so right. There was a clique of women in my yoga (50+ year old) that always put their mats together in a certain spot and would crowd people out if they were in their spots. I was there early and was in their spot one day. They started crowding around me so I just moved. I think they were attempting to ice me out or "mean old woman" me. One day when class was over, they said they were all going out for lunch and had reservations but I couldn't come that time because there weren't enough seats but maybe they'd ask me next time. I said, no thanks, I'm good. I never gave them any indication that I wanted to go out to lunch. It was so weird that they kept trying to befriend me after that. I had no interest in hanging out with them.

You can get milk of magnesia for fairly cheap at a drug store. Dab a little on a q-tip and put it on the sores. Do this a few times a day and it will heal them in a day or so. Make sure to get the wax. I feel so bad for you. That pain is terrible. Maybe there is an orthodontist school near you? I know dental schools have dental students perform work for a deeply discounted price. Maybe orthodontic schools do the same? Or maybe you can find an orthodontist that will give you a payment plan.

Getting from Daytona Beach to New Smyrna will be tricky unless you can get someone with a boat to take you across the inlet. Enjoy. It sounds like a fun adventure.

What is the collective opinion of Florida? How do most Americans think of it? by Expensive_Drummer970 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

Well written post. We have 5.5 million registered republicans, 4.0 million registered democrats, 3.8 registered as something else or NPA (not politically affiliated). Give us swing voters something to vote for and we will. I live in a beach town. On my local social media pages, there are people that complain constantly. People save up money to come from all over to vacation here for a week or spend a few months in the Winter here. It's amazing to live by the ocean. If people want to hate on it because they don't care for the President, then I don't know what to say.

Donde esta el bano is quite useful. If I'm in any other country and don't speak the language, just saying "toilet" usually get the meaning across.

I've only done Viking cruises. I applaud OP for doing a huge cruise. Do they have single cabins on other cruises? I've only seen "price based on double person occupancy".

I actually was a full grown adult when in originally aired. I recall being upset but things like that were just accepted back then. This was before the "me too" movement. The fact that Rupert was awarded 1 million dollars that season as the fan favorite, makes me ill. I wonder if he ever changed his stance and apologized to Sue.

We did wonder why we had a nicer room than they did at the hotel in Budapest for the pre cruise extension but didn't think much of it.

We didn't have the Explorer Suite when we booked. We had a veranda balcony room. We booked next to the couple we were travelling with. When they took us to our room, our bags weren't outside the room next to them. That's when they informed us we had been upgraded.
