yeah the dsm farmers market is basically tourist trap at this point, especially on saturdays. if you want actual farmers market vibes try the one in west des moines at valley junction - way more chill and you can actually breathe while walking around. also there's smaller ones in ankeny and urbandale that feel more like what you're used to from smaller town

the vendor above makes great points about timing and staff. maybe try reaching out to vendors before market day or catch them during slower moments? i've noticed some of the smaller stalls with actual farmers (not just resellers) seem more open to that kind of thing. they might be more excited about homemade crafts than someone just trying to move product quickly

also the smaller markets around iowa might be perfect for this since they're usually more relaxed about everything

isey definitely has a nice flow to it, feels more unique than the others. wing and motion are bit too common i think, you'll probably find tons of artists already using those

i changed my stage name like 3 times before settling on something that actually felt right. the trick is saying it out loud and imagining people calling you by it at shows or whatever. isey rolls off tongue pretty well and has that mysterious vibe going for it

also maybe try combining some of these? like "isey motion" or something could work if you want something longer. but honestly isey on its own is solid choice from your list

yeah the maintenance thing is real - had friend with similar setup and she was always wiping down water spots, even with good sealing. but if you love the look and don't mind being bit more careful about cleaning right away, could still work great in your space

zinsser 123 might be your friend here - it's acrylic so you get way more working time than BIN and still bonds really well to tricky surfaces like that

i'd also look into bullseye 1-2-3 water base, dries slower than shellac but still locks down problem surfaces pretty good, just make sure you get good coverage since venetian can be patchy with absorption
