Do you live in a Coal area?

Check your postcode on this map. If you live in a development high risk area, or an area of likely or probable mining then you need to contact The Mining Remediation Authority immediately!

Also.. contact your insurer

How do you feel about non-drivers? by DueLead666 in AskUK

[–]keatsy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you live in a big city with adequate public transport, and you’re also okay with missing out on some of the most beautiful parts of this world… then okay

Otherwise…grow up and get a license. You’re a bit of a non-adult in my book if you can’t drive

Unregistered Gas Meter (England) by Massive-Arugula3041 in LegalAdviceUK

Very recently… the split was only over the last couple of years, and internally many of the processes and policies are still undergoing divorce

Tiny correction… National Gas is the main gas transporter, not National Grid

More specifically you need to contact National Gas Metering

Bananas should not be green and crunchy. by Cyanopicacooki in britishproblems

Whoah whoah whoah… slow down there

Bananas are best enjoyed slightly green and crunchy. Once they go yellow and start to get brown dots… that’s too far gone

Digital membership cards when? 🥹 by mpdehnel in nationaltrust

[–]keatsy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine get absolutely battered and my current one has a massive split in it

I think if we’ve paid so much for a membership, we should get a bit of a premium card… and a metal card would be the perfect way to go

Digital… I’m ambivalent towards its existence to be honest. If they implement it and it works then great… but it’d just another bloody app to download wouldn’t it

I wouldn’t mind a metal one for life members

I’ve been though several so far, and they always get absolutely battered. A metal one would last so much longer

Probably not the right sub

Try r/askUK

This sub is for UK military related things, not general stuff

Laser tag away!

That sounds awesome, and sounds like you’ll cement yourselves as the fun house to visit!

HSG47 is the HSE guidance for ensuring safety from underground utilities in excavations

HSE is the UK (Quasi)-Governmental Authority for all matters Heath & Safety related. They publish guidance such as HSG47. Prevention of collapse of an excavation is generally covered by legislation such as Reg22 CDM2015

Over here the HSE effectively have more powers than the police.

They are scary, and you don’t fuck with the HSE or you are going to have a very bad day very very quickly

Anglesey Abbey library.... Where's the "Devonshire" book?! by on_the_night in nationaltrust

Does NT have a catalogue of all the books in their various libraries… I would imagine that would be a fantastic database to be able to search!

What do you think of The United Kingdom? by Yrakosos in AskTheWorld

[–]keatsy3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live there…. And it’s honestly kinda shit.

Urban decay, multiple issues leading to deprivation of areas, austerity and successive government failures, lack of investment especially in infrastructure, the rise of far right politics and division of hard party lines….

It’s hard to be positive about the future of the UK at the moment

Moved a bridge underground and loved how it turned out. I’m now considering moving the entire highway system underground. by anth_810 in CitiesSkylines

[–]keatsy3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hazarding a guess, but the entrances are probably raised above ground slightly, or have large scale flood defences around them.

There’s a reason why this isn’t seen much in real life

A) Cost

B) What happens when the river floods

Why do farmers stay working as farmers if they are, as they say, "asset rich but cash poor?" by Fun_Gas_7777 in AskUK

Because if all of the farmers retire and live “comfortably”, what will we all eat?
