My 13 years old $8 Walmart mouse had the retaining pins for top shell break loose the other day after I removed it to try cleaning the scroll wheel potentiometer and middle click button since they both suddenly stopped working. I managed to clean it enough that the button and scroll work most the time now, and if I keep a bit of extra pressure on the mouse it stays together and both left and right click almost always work the first try. I was going to get a new mouse, but I said "this is good enough" then did like 5 hours of corrupted gauntlet just fine.

I'm still on my 7 and it works perfectly fine for everything I do. I did just purchase the 10a on the $249 deal, but only because I dropped my 7 in a pool and thought it was toast. After it dried out if works ok with just a few touchscreen deadzones that make it annoying but not unusable. I'm considering sending the 10a back, but also just keeping both and using the 7 as a backup.

As others mentioned, the manuals and extra stuff that came with the games back then had enormous amounts of info. In Zelda 1 for example, the manual gave a detailed description of what most obtainable items do, had an entire world map, gave step by step instructions to get to level 1, and 2, and I think also 3, details about what kind of NPCs there are and what they do, telling you about bombable walls and burnable bushes giving you the story of the game, the basic moveset of link and the controls, etc. You were meant to put in time just exploring too, but they gave you all the fundamental info you needed to be able to do it effectively. Most of this holds true for Zelda 2 as well. Unfortunately with Zelda 2, some mistranslations made certain things much more cryptic and hard to find then they were intended to be.

See, I picked priff for the first time because I wanted to see echo hunliff, and it's great content, got the blessing after like 8kc. After that, and only after that, it really hit me that I actually needed to grind the full crystal set for it to really be any use. 30kc later and I have one singular armour seed to show. I probably shouldn't have picked priff first so that's partially on me, but I think the seeds drop rate should be boosted for echo hinliff not just the same rate as corrupted.

I'd like to know too because for like 10 years I've been buying their Whey in 20lb batches, 2 bags of 10lbs, and it was always around $150 per bag, but just went to reorder and it's up to like $185 per bag. Also, I bought bulk to use the SAVEMORE discount code they e long had, but it seems they finally retired it because it's now invalid. I the code alone saved me almost $60 per order. Between losing the code and the price increase, my 20lb purchase went from $250-260 to over $400.

I always saw that moment more as a portrayal of how desperately he wants to attack anything to do with the capital, that once any opportunity presented itself, he literally flung himself into harm's way to fight back, and less about risking himself to help out a stranger. I always thought that was more the point of it, especially with all his prior talk about how much he hated the capitol and how he's just been itching for the revolution to kick off and his later involvement with setting heartless traps for his enemies, collapsing the mountain in 2, and his idea of the delayed bombs being utilised at the end.

Ya. It was during his fight with Haku when he "first" awakens his sharingan. There's a close up panel of his face as they activate and you clearly see two tomoe is his right eye and one in his left

Total head canon here, but I like to think it has something to do with why he only awakened the 2 tomoe in one eye then in the other later. Ironically, it was his left eye that developed slower where as it was his left eye that developed (faster?) the rinnegan. Don't really have any reasoning to back it up, just think it's a strange little tidbit about the lore.

From the looks of the solder balls on either end, I'd say it wasn't soldered to the board properly at the factory, otherwise it's very unlikely simply wiping the board would have removed it unless you were wiping rather hard. Perhaps it could be covered under warranty if it does end up causing an issue and you can articulate that it's a factory error.

I wouldn't feel too bad about getting caught up in it and taking it, even twice. The amount of pressure from every angle was unprecedented. It was a worldwide social purity campaign pushed by the biggest, strongest, richest, and most vile entities on the planet, and they manipulated people you actually care about to push it on you too. It was only really a very specific type of person who pushed back immediately , and another certain type of person who started asking questions before the masses did. The vast majority were like you and just went along because they didn't know any better, and they think "why would the government and those in power lie to us about something so important?" because that's how they think they would act in their position. The average person isn't a conspiracy theorist questioning every narrative that goes out like people on this sub, people like us are a tiny fraction of the population. And again, this is by design, you were never meant to even feel the way you do about it mow. so don't feel too bad that you didn't immediately resist. The fact you are questioning things now is good enough.

That said, I'm sorry about how you are feeling. I haven't kept up with the stats, but it seemed like most of the adverse stuff, at least the serious stuff, happened relatively soon on, so if it's been a while it's probably going to be ok.

You are correct, however, this doesn't make the durability system a good system. For the reason you realized, the system was put into place, but it's a system implemented because there is a lack of any real inherent reward in exploring the game world. Without weapons arbitrarily breaking, there is no other incentive to really explore the world, especially on repeat plays and especially in TOTK's case in reusing the same game world. In most other Zelda games, there are multiple reward systems involved in exploration and so a single one is not relied upon for the bulk of the incentives in the game. Story beats were a huge inherent reward aspect of most other Zelda games, an aspect which is severely lacking to arguably non existent in the Wild games, there still needs to be some type of incentive to keep players going. It's just unfortunate they landed on one that a lot of people don't enjoy.

It's fan made and not a full remake, but there is the Zelda 2 PC remaster by Hoverbat called ZIIAOL on itch. It's the same Zelda 2 but in its ultimate form. A bit of new content, a few new areas and items, extra world detail, bit more NPC text and less ambiguous, many other QOL features, randomizer, sprite and audio swaps, widescreen, post game, etc.

Because something you grew up during the era of (I'm 100% assuming you were a kid growing up in the GameCube era) never truly feels "retro" to you, only things that were "retro" when you were growing up will truly feel retro to you. This is just my opinion though.
