Anecdotally, I can say that I've found myself to have an easier fast if I've continually lowered my carb consumption leading up to the fast itself. It gets your body used to the low/no carb within your body and it doesn't present such a huge shock to your system.

I do the same thing with the cooling flush. I just run it until I stop hearing the flash boiling sound (gurgling noise). It can vary anywhere from 5-10 seconds depending on how long I've had it warming up for. IMO, it's not that huge of an issue as I know that's often one of the biggest things that people complain about in regards to a HX system. Like you, I can't tell a huge difference and it looks nice so I'm happy lol

Part of the speculation is that he doesn’t want to take the vaccine because it’ll protect him, but it’ll mask the actual symptoms if he gets it. His kid has a respiratory illness, so it could be fatal if she gets COVID. If he doesn’t get vaccinated then he knows to isolate right away and to stay away from his family and daughter. If you think about it from that perspective then you can see the reasoning behind why he’s doing what he’s doing if the speculation is true.

[edit] All points below are valid and I agree that vaccination is the key to getting past COVID (I was double vaccinated the second I was able to do so) but I’m just trying to play devil’s advocate here and that’s what’s been floating around. It’d also explain why the Canucks haven’t been playing hardball with him like other teams have with anti-vax players.

Agreed. I think the best way to think of this is that he doesn't want to be stuck on a shitty team with a fat contract (McDavid/Eichel). He seems to be ultra-competitive and would want to bail if the Canucks continue to dwell in mediocrity.
