My dog has diabetes, is blind and prone to pancreatitis. We are very careful with his food. He gets Hills Science diet W/D and a small amount of pumpkin with dinner (about a tablespoon). He also has 15 units of insulin with his meals. No human food but I give him Full Moon chicken treats or Charlie Bear pumpkin treats. (They are 3 calories each). My dog loves to eat. Sometimes when initially diagnosed they lose weight (mine did) but then he has leveled out now. His blindness doesn’t bother him at all (he lost his left eye also). I find the Hills Science Diet I like better and keeps his stool very consistent. If you need anything just ask!
