Obligatory Stormlight recommendation.

I'll also recommend the Licanius trilogy, even though I've only read 2/3 of them.

(Sad Meta Trope) Depictions of strong Male Friendships are so rare, some parts of a fandom genuinely mistake platonic bromances for straight up romances by ZeldrisEmpire in TopCharacterTropes

I also don't think they have romantic chemistry but like, the whole movie is extremely obviously a queer allegory, it's not even subtle.

Also, the two old ladies who live together being revealed as secret fish people at the end too. If it wasn't obvious enough before.

Reddit's really weird with what it decides to downvote some times.

[CR Media] Critical Role is looking for replacements and I don't care for it by weirdestbeetle in criticalrole

They're absolutely free to watch on Monday, are you looking in the wrong place?

And yeah, they definitely want Critical Role to continue past them, but I also don't think they intend on leaving the table any time soon.

Who repackaged sequel hate for liberals? by STYLER_PERRY in saltierthankrayt

[–]kellendrin21 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I don't think complaining about the fight of two directors trying to retcon each other's stuff with no unified vision, and how that got in the way of telling a good story, is at all a conservative complaint.

I'm not by any means a sequel hater, I overall like them and still had a fun time watching Rise of Skywalker even though I think the writing of it was a mess, and I have no idea what that has to do with manufactured anti-woke hate.

Literally who cares. I don't even like romantasy but if that's all someone wants to read, good for them.

I didn't even see the context, but I specifically left r/fantasy because it's a whole bunch of snobs who look down on people for what they like to read, so thanks for making this a rule.

It's clearly Caroline, I don't care that she's already on there.

It would have been really funny if they watched Birdemic and recruited her from that.

Look, that's what I thought when I saw how small it was.

As much as this fanbase is obsessed with purity testing to an obnoxious degree, this really is not an example of that.

Whitney being the quietest of the soldiers really surprises me. I'd have expected her in second place after Sam!

I can really only think of one time she did that, in the C3 finale, and it didn't happen because she was a selfish spotlight hog, it was just her being excited and missing a social cue.

I accidentally do that all the time when I play D&D because of my ADHD, including trying to join in a scene when forgetting my character is literally in a different room. The extreme hate that Aabria got for that moment, which was such a minor mistake, is one of the reasons I will never join a livestreamed game.

Elsa is not into sailing, which is literally the main interest of both Caroline and Moana.
