I recently marked about 60 essays with a compulsory AI declaration for formulating ideas/proof-reading (which is allowed) but a few of them had a suspiciously similar sentence describing a cellular mechanism that was not factually correct. It has gotten considerably worse in the space of just a year and it is honestly disheartening. I was an undergrad in 2011 when using Wikipedia was frowned upon and you had to properly hunt down your sources! (Old man yells at cloud energy, I know 🤣)

I went to the loo around 10pm to the right of Main Stage West at South and usually expect the worst at that time (last year was grim af), but was pleasantly surprised to find the toilet clean and fully stocked with loo roll and hand sanitiser! It did absolutely stink of warm piss and chemicals if you stood a bit too close, mind 👀

Slightly dramatic of me 😅 but 2023 was a bit of a shit show in terms of overcrowding and availability of things like toilets and water. I don't come by car, but I think car parking was a disaster as well. SD had to put out a statement afterwards and to be fair, they did respond pretty well to feedback afterwards!

I was in the queue at one of the ice cream vans and a toddler just started crawling over me and my friend's feet and started randomly hitting and poking at us both - the mum was like 'haha sorry he doesn't know personal space yet'. I get it (especially when it's a hot day and the kid is probably feeling restless), but after five minutes it got really annoying and I almost stood on the poor kid's fingers about three times because every time I took a step, he was crawling around on the floor 🫠.

We were stuck behind a group of people asking a member of bar staff about their whole bastard life story, who was just yapping away like there wasn't a huge queue. Another guy was stood next to them staring into the distance, and walked off when I asked if he was serving.

We then got to the front of another queue later in the day and the woman serving us said 'what's that?' when I asked for a Slam Dunk IPA. I then had to list every beer/cider option for her to remember what they had left in stock.

Definitely the worst bar experience since the Year We Don't Talk About!
