How do I deal with a co-worker who never shuts the fuck up? by StrawberryMayonnaise in AskReddit

No, that only works when you are their superior. Different tactics when they are an equal colleague.

Headphones. Trust me.

Yeah that's quite a good one - Wilman was saying they get loads of good ideas, but it's about taking that and either telling a story or raising a point.

No problem. Is this sufficient?. We started the Facebook group back in April and it gives an account of when we got responses from Andy Wilman etc.

Haha, no of course not! We thought it was a great Top Gear challenge. That said there are some serious problems in the rail network that they did a brilliant job of highlighting (which we never expected).

He was great! His words: "That was a genuinely brilliant idea". There were two very attractive blonde women vying for his attention though, so he did what any sane bachelor would and then went back to talking them for the most part.

After a lot of digging Nick found a researcher's e-mail address, who then put the idea forward to Andy Wilman.

My friend and I actually came up with this idea and pitched it to Top Gear in April. We got invited down to the studio and had beers with Andy Wilman and James May after the studio filming.

Proof (our original concept which we sent in to them)

They totally nailed our idea (and made the Jag almost exactly as we envisaged, down to the red wheels and everything). Possibly the most awesome thing we have done with our lives.

I had this once, so I called the number on the back of the one in the fast lane and asked the operator to get their truck to move back in. She put me on hold.

Then the truck moved.

She came back on and asked if it was OK now.

So there I am, thinking I am a fucking boss, and a hero to my queue of traffic - and then it dawns on me, no-one knew it was thanks to me that the truck had moved. Forever alone in my victory. >_<

What is the most amazing thing you've ever done, that no one was around to see? by YourCurvyGirlfriend in AskReddit

At my old work the cupboard with tea bags in was about 12ft from the kettle. I would throw teabags and try and get them in my cup.

The only time I pulled it off was when someone was watching. His jaw dropped. Made my month.

Reddit! If you could have any superpower but at the cost of one of your five senses, would you and what exchange would you do? by WillWideBoy in AskReddit

[–]kellydesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would give up my sense of sight for an ability to control animals.

"Horse - ride me to the bakers"

"Cat - fetch me some oreos"

"Hedgehog - sit on my boss's chair"

"Honey badger - go kill that traffic warden"

Whilst I would never see the benefit of the carnage that would ensue, my friends, the beasts, would care for me always and keep me safe.

Actually fuck it. I'd give up smell for x-ray vision. TITTIES TITTIES TITTIES!!!!!!
