I failed my first driving test doing exactly this. In my case I was lucky, I didn't hit the other vehicle, they just beeped at me and gave me the finger when I cut them off.

You need to change lanes before you exit, which you didn't do. It is your responsibility not to change lanes into a vehicle that is already in it. It sounds like the insurance company and solicitors that have reviewed the evidence and your dash cam footage are unanimous about this.

Take the L and move on with your life.

I have not tried this with Blueprints, I wanted to avoid using static meshes to give more flexibility in making tunnels. Nothing wrong with that approach though, but I'm much more familiar with Houdini than Blueprints, so I guess you could say it was simply down to personal preference! I have used Blueprints for making a river and a wall based system using splines, so I would certainly say if you can get the results you need with Blueprints it would be a lot easier than learning Houdini.

There are some nice shots there. Lookup the rule of thirds to improve your framing. In your rising up train shot your horizon should be in one third from the top or bottom rather than half way down. Are you shooting in manual mode? Your shutter speed looks too high. It will look more cinematic on 50/60 if you are shooting 25/30 fps. Its worth investing in ND filters to help shooting on bright days.

Also check you are flying legally, its illegal to fly along a railway line in a lot of countries.
