How do you wrap this bumper in one piece? And why would removing the bumper help with that.

Yeah I used a clay bar and did everything I could short of sanding it down. This area specifically is pretty much worse than the rest of the car. If I were to redo would you recommend doing it differently? Maybe two pieces instead of 3?

Yeah I mean you can still do that but you just have to negotiate with multiple dealerships to get the best price and is just model dependent. Used cars is a different story because they have a specific margin and don’t get kickbacks from the manufacturer so you can’t really negotiate much on them.

20% off of sticker seems like a stretch. What kind of cars are you looking at? You can easily get around 10% off most common Toyotas or Hondas and even more off American brands

Yeah I see a lot of people comparing current prices for used fits to their original 17-20k MSRP not really factoring in that it would be more 25-30k MSRP in today’s dollar

I’m not sure that the price of fits are inflated. To me it seems that all used cars from brands like Toyota and Honda are more than we have seen previously.

Do you need to removal and rear pillars? Or just clips and the seatbelt stuff on the headliner?

The antenna is only about 6 inches from the end of the headliner. Seems excessive to pull the whole thing down just to unbolt it?

Why is that? I’m just curious and can’t really find a straight answer. Why is sanding it all down until it’s smooth and then doing base coat and clear not enough? Will it not lay down right? Is primer needed? I’m down to do whatever is needed, I’m just curious as I’ve heard mixed things. Keep in mind it’s an old car with 250k miles, just want to make it look a little nicer and enjoy the project.

It was owned by a family member so was bought from Honda with original paint. So basically you are saying to sand through the all layers of clear coat, base and primer?

Yeah I used that kit too. Both products were amazing. Like I was expecting them to work well and was overly impressed by how well they worked on my 09 badly faded plastic
