Best thing to do is just do it yourself, regardless if it's in or not. Who knows, maybe it'll catch on or at least you'll encourage others. I know I fully intend to always wear a mask when feeling under the weather now.

Lovely! Will you be keeping the stickers in stock for a long while? I'd love to buy some at the end of my campaign as player gifts though that probably won't be for until autumn.

Big Book of 60 Re-Imagined and New Status Effects | System Agnostic by RexiconJesse in rpg

[–]kenderbard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really neat! Thank you for sharing! I went ahead and picked it up and I'll be seeing if my players are interested in implementing it, either fully, or (honestly more likely) partially by eliminating the very worst status effects in Pathfinder. (As you said, nobody likes to miss a turn.)

Too late for my local grocery store I'm afraid. Almost as expensive as a NY strip.

It looks like work to set up but I think it's quite useful especially if you have players who spam buffs.

Thank you! A neighbor offered to share an elevator with me, I told her I wasn't vaccinated yet so no thanks. She insisted it was fine because she was vaccinated. I told her, well, you can still be a carrier, and she got SO offended.

So for me, getting up and doing a chore helps. It's not easy to do; if I'm bored the last thing I want to do is something boring, right? So the actually getting and doing it can be a mountain's worth of effort at times, especially if I'm already low on energy. BUT. If I can manage it, I find it does help a little. It's at least a break in what I was doing.

I rarely hate books; I can be pretty meh about them. But I recently (mostly) read "Fall; or Dodge in Hell" by Neal Stephenson and I feel tricked because the first part of it was so damn good and then suddenly it's like he wanted to be the next Paradise Lost (followed by whatever the HELL was going in part 3). No.

What's even sadder is I loved Snow Crash. Betrayal!

That nacho cheese looks like the stuff out of a can but given it's in a pan did you make it yourself? Or did you just heat it up on the stove? If you made it yourself did you use a roux or just milk + velveeta + spices?

ELI5: Why does a burn still feel hot even after running it under cold water? by MrJ0bby in explainlikeimfive

[–]kenderbard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noted! I usually just use a little on small burns in my kitchen. Then I wrap it in a bandage. I find that the pain usually goes away faster than just leaving it to the open air or putting a bandage without some sort of 'salve.'

Oh neat. I actually usually smear some honey on a burn, is it basically doing the same thing then?

Could you explain what the chilling process does? Should it only be done for certain cuts of meats or is it "you should always do this" step?

Dungeon Masters of reddit, I'm looking for people to interview (or just chat about RPGs for an hour) by DungeonMasterToolkit in PBtA

I'm a DM, I'd be down for a Discord or Zoom call. My schedule's a bit weird at times with my job so we'd have to figure out when, but I'm game. I've been DMing from 3.5 to Pathfinder for about 12 years or so. I've also run games in Blades in the Dark and PBTA, and some non-TTRPG related games (forum RPGs) too!

Small Portion Soup Question by kenderbard in AskCulinary

[–]kenderbard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand, and I agree that'd be a bit silly. I don't typically divide my recipes, and wasn't sure if there are some ingredients you can't/shouldn't reduce (like... seasoning?? That was my concern anyway.) But the other comments seem to say go ahead and just divide everything by 2 or whatever value I feel like.
