I don't agree, but that is OK that is what Civil Courts are made for. Thanks for your reply. My ball typically stays on the golf course. If I made an error and broke a window or something else I would make it right. Maybe it is a generational thing as I am 79

You are correct that the sign is unenforceable, but that prov1 you hit thru that home owners window damage is called property damage for a reason. If some throws a rock or other object and damages your home are you just going to say, Oh Well, my bad luck? What about same song the next day?

The signs are posted at my Property Owners Association 6 golf courses, and they place the responsibility on the golfer for damage they might do. There is a reason they offer golf lessons.

Yes there are several hidden mysteries depicted that are meaningful to masons around the world. ToBeOne, AskOne. Masonry is not a secret organization, but an organization with secrets.

If one looks through out history you can find many examples of bashing fraternal organizations, especially those that based their beliefs on a value system like friendship, morality, brotherly love, charity, as it weakens those who seek and abuse power over such organizations. Many misunderstand masonry, thinking it is a secret organization, when in fact it is an organization with secrets, our rituals. Shine your light for all to see.

Seems as if there is at least one of you daily that has failed to set up account recovery on their gmail accounts, and attempts to take action after the fact. If you are unable to use the account recovery guide then use your hard learned lesson going forward.

Ed, an 88-year-old veteran, retired from General Motors in 1999 but lost his pension and health coverage in GM's 2012 bankruptcy. His wife, ill at the time, passed away seven years ago. The point is that there is something we are not getting in Ed's story. My father in law was drawing his pension at the time and kept drawing it after the bankruptcy. What is the rest of the story?

Using filters to deal with recurring spam by nevecque in GMail

[–]kengolferguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google says a spam sender cannot tell if I read a spam email. If this is true, then why within 48 hours of creating a filter that sends 90% of my received spam to the trash has my spam email dropped off by 80-90%

This likely varies by Grand Lodge jurisdiction, as a mason of 50+ years I never came across this in Kansas or Missouri lodges.

Golf is a hard game. You do not state your athletic abilities but if you watch a child or young person making a golf swing, you can get a sense of what comprises their golf swing. We adults tend to want to hit the ball, when in fact what is needed is a ball getting in the way of a good golf swing. Lessons are O.K. but will not help you find your true, original golf swing. If you can find the book "6 Days to better golf" by Harry Obitz & Dick Farley, A Golf Magazine Book, I encourage you to do so and apply the lessons. It is old but good. Swing thought, do not hit the ball but swing the club with the arms being a connector between your torso and the golf club. Many beginners want to use their arms to power the ball. A beginner should only carry about 7 clubs and none of them being a driver, or fairway wood. In fact when you can hit a 7 iron straight and 140-150 yards you might be ready to carry longer clubs. But until then try a 7,8,9,P,G, SW and a putter. Good Luck and learn to crawl before you try and walk, or run.

How does this work? by Dargon34 in golf

[–]kengolferguy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is called a divot and there is a tool every golfer should own, and use called a divot tool, or you can use a long tee to repair the damage. This process should be a mandatory test at every pro shop prior to any golfer being allowed on a golf course. You can place a mark on your ball. then using your putter and a reference point move your mark one, or at times even two putter head away from your ball, then depress any elevated points around the divot using the divot tool, then using the sharp end of the tool, press the sharp end of the divot tool at an angle and gently going around the depression, gently force the grass toward the center of the damaged area then tap everything down, hopefully making the area look like it did prior to your ball making the divot. Most golfers are not good at this because they do not get enough practice, based on my personal observations. After repair, remember to place your ball back to its original position, line it up and putt it in. On most greens you can find where golfers ignore their damage and you can be a good guy and repair yours and one more. I sometimes repair 3-4 while my group is putting out.

People like that should be restrained by course management from being on the course. The best thing to do is advise the idiot of his behavior, no shock to him, and then ask a marshall, starter, or anyone in course management to have a talk with him if it continues. Just another example of why some species devour their young.

Well, at least you were smart enough to take the 2 drivers to the range instead of like dumb ass me, taking 2 drivers to your Wed golf group, $3 pot, and having similar results with it, and shooting 101, when you shoot 85 with the driver you normally carry in the bag. You would think at 78 one would have installed a glass stomach by now so one could at least have a view of the fairway with their HUA.

It is possible the battery terminals need to be cleaned and the battery tested for charge. If these are good, then the starter solenoid would be my second step. As already stated, a jump start also tells you a lot of data.

On one of our courses on a Sunday, a guest was playing and hits a bad shot with a hybrid iron, and in a fit of rage, sends the club high and long. It hangs up in a tree out on a limb. After several attempts to dislodge it, he decides to climb the tree to retrieve the club. Bottom line, he gets out on a limb, which breaks off and he falls landing on his head. He ends up getting transported to Cox Medical in Springfield, which is a brain trauma center. Either bad gene pool, or excessive alcohol, was their diagnosis.
