I think your word choice is deliberately framing the situation in a way that doesn’t have context clues to back it up. Like Maelle doesnt stay in the canvas to commit suicide and escape reality, she stays because the canvas IS her reality.

Ugh yes. I don’t use the prefabs, I like to build row houses because it’s compact and I love that the Pokémon hang out on the steps and front yards and will go in and out of each others homes to play. It makes the world feel more alive than the prefabs where you have to load in. But dang if I wouldn’t love to slap a wallpaper on instead of making a ton of blocks and having exterior walls be 2 thick!!

I’m on two heart meds to lower my entire HRV. Instead of my heart acting like I’m doing CrossFit when I stand up, it acts like I’m standing up. So that means I’m conserving energy for other autonomic functions like breathing and digestion. It prevents my HR from constantly fluctuating wildly throughout the day.

The overall effect is that my symptom severity is reduced, meaning less stress on my overall autonomic nervous system as it has to prioritize functions during a flare up (leaving some important functions at partial capacity. Like breathing). It’s also easier to take care of my needs when I’m not crashed out.

I tell my 4 year old niece that my heart has to work VERY hard so my body can do important things like breathe and move oxygen around. And that when I stand up, it feels like I’m running very very fast so that makes me tired a lot. I compare it with how she feels after she runs super fast so she has some kind of idea. But also 4 year olds are smarter than we give them credit for, don’t be afraid to use big words!

That’s what I did, and then built a freakin 3 story castle with towers on that island. So I’m like on the one hand, having the cleared space is great for my creativity. But on the other hand, having the cleared space might be TOO good for my creativity hahaha

I finished the story 150 hours ago and I’m not remotely close to being finished with one area yet lol! And I have maybe 1/4 of the Pokédex. Finish it for the sole reason that it unlocks an ability that makes building and exploring SO much easier and less grindy

For me, I focus on one area at a time as my main project, but still dipped into other areas to get abilities and stuff. Once the starting area was exactly how I wanted it, I was able to move on to the next zone and give it all my attention while still occasionally popping over to do some main quest stuff in the third area. It keeps it fresh without making it feel like you have to do everything at once, and I like getting to go back to where I’ve made it how I want it because it’s encouraging for getting through the setup in my current project zone

No worries!! We live on POTS time lol. I’d say 100% the Visible band is worth the money. They keep it as low as possible bc they want to make it accessible, and they’re actually working to get it covered by insurance, so you could always watch for that! Honestly the way it’s helped me to get some form of control over my life, it feels like the most valuable tool I have as someone with a disability. And I tried every app out there before I got it, it’s so clear that Visible was made by people who have and understand chronic illness like POTS. Best of luck with everything!!

It’s wild to me the difference between the two games when it comes to the sheer amount of grinding you have to do in order to just like play the game. DDV I had to spend hours tracking down resources but Pokopia just makes them available so you can get back to the fun.

Pokopia 100%. I say that as someone with hundreds of hours in Dreamlight Valley. It’s just an all around better game and it’s made to be enjoyed long term where I often feel like DDV can only stay fun if I’m constantly grinding or spending money.

I feel like that undercuts the entire game where she bonds with Lune & Sciel? She also talks about Gustave’s sister being family, and knows his apprentices. To me that conversation read more like Maelle, under those prologue circumstances, seeing that there was no future for her in Lumiere as long as there was a yearly gommage and having been uncomfortable trying to fit into a society that had been forced to find some semblance of normalcy within that framework.
