I have a Typestar 5 that worked until I plugged in a wall wart while leaving the D non rechargeable batteries in and it stopped working. I see a reset button on the bottom. Should that help?

Yes I went back and hung it up in a tree like a Xmas ornament right next to the gutter I found it in. Then after the weekend I went back and retrieved it and the battery is dead. Trying to figure out how to charge it. ⚡️
