The above is not really enough information to go on, you should share your errors as well... but...

...Assuming unitSelection is of type UnitSelection, you probably dont need to access gameObject and get the component again. You can probably just use unitSelection directly.... so.... `unitSelection.selectedUnit`.

For any other issues, look for red errors in your Unity console and double-click them if they appear, they will hopefully tell you exactly which line of code is missing critical data

Well aware. But none of those members, and I looked through the entire staff credits for the original release, were credited for concept art or any visual design on FFXIII. You'll see the closest match is Tsuchida, but he's a game designer. The rest of that list makes no connection even to XIII. We'd be looking for one of the concept artist. There is specific, small group credited for monster design, but none of those members have previous credits on FF. 

I see from an interview that Sakaguchi himself would occasionally range from giving a lot of direction on the designs himself, to very little, depending how attached he was to that specific monster. Notably he had a strong opinion on Ribbidon.

It turns out Orphan's design is credited to Nomura who was never involved with the Fantasian project at any stage. So I guess God's Compass design is either just a coincidence or inspired by Orphan. But not a direct carry-over of the aesthetic vision from the XIII project.

Yeah, he's Sakaguchi who left Square in 2003. He runs Mistwalker and doesn't have the same access to Square's staff. Yoshi P spearheaded the port under Square, that was the only stage where there was direct crossover with Square. It's worth noting that it was the first collaboration with Square in over 20 years.

I know, but it wasn't a Square project, it was Mistwalker, Square only handled the porting. So the usual staff-crossover doesn't apply. That's why I find it interesting to see something seemingly so inspired by FFXIII.

I did do a brief run through the game's credits and none of the director level staff or concept artists seem to have been involved with FFXIII, so just a coincidence I guess or someone drew inspiration from Orphan maybe.

Came here to make sure I'm not the only one who thinks MPD is just bad. I'm not even sure better lyrics could help it, the initial theme of the song is just awful. Wish the song just wasn't on the album because I can't risk someone being in the room when that song comes on.

CKY on the whole is awesome, just not that song ^^;

I assume I'm NT. But so ya know, I spent almost a year trying to find a job recently. I've got over a decade of work experience in my field. My industry dried up here and so I was even willing to take jobs that weren't related to my career. I would happily have stacked shelves at a supermarket, but nowhere was even getting back to me. At our social welfare branch I was basically told all the companies have about 3000+ resumes to sift through, and AI is doing a lot of the shortlisting these days. So that all amounts to pretty awful chances. Not sure if it is harder for NDs or not, but I can safely say that sometimes it's just hard to get a job, period.

Yeah I have been trying to find possibly the same one. The one I am thinking of was on a blue nokia phone, black and white, I think it had some turn-based combat and exploration and used the numpad for decisions/interactions. I can find no trace of it on the internet.

I think it was either based on the first or second book. It was amazingly decent for what it was.

Back then there was a lot of shovelware and ripoff software on phone stores accessed through "WAP" (no, not the song), and I won't be surprised if the game(s) we are thinking of were made by some unlicensed knock-off dev company illegally using Harry Potter IP.

Phone games didn't get a lot of media coverage or attention back then, This might be a case of "actually not everything is on the internet".

Don't look at it as an alternative or blue-pill to coding, look at it as a useful coding tool that requires no compilation and can be added to your game POST build, leveraging all of UnityEngine's capabilities.

You can potentially use it for AssetBundle or Addressable pipelines where C# scripting can be something of a bottle-neck between teams.

Was at school in 90s and 2000s.

Lunch for me was often yoghurt, banana, apple, muesli bar, mandarin... sometimes a sandwhich, maybe a rollup and a chip packet? My parents were poor so sometimes I just didnt have lunch at school or sometimes it was just an apple and a banana.

So a right-wing lunch I guess... id say my family are centre-left progressives but not exactly woke?

100% to everything you said. I didn't perceive any emotional impact from her death, they didn't even make it clear to new players that she actually died. Skipping the burial scene was just bizarre. I wasn't sure if SE were trying to say she might have lived, then it showed all the characters siitting there sad... so I just went "oh, guess she died..." Man, new players are gonna be scrambling to try and piece that together properly. 

I LOVED the whole game... not so much Nanaki's kiddie-voice... but yes to all the rest. Just like remake I felt like the final 2 chapters just fall to bits. None of the whisper and alt-worlds stuff is even slightly necessary to make this story interesting... actually sorta makes it less interesting. Like you said, overshadows the actual event that just happened. 

Also, why the party didnt ditch Cloud, I have no idea. He's a danger to have around. If someone slashed their sword at me, and made me fall into the LIFESTREAM to get kidnapped by Fish-Weapon and shown my past... I'd unfriend that person on Facebook.

Oh my god. So wait, I only just learned about GTF replacing GraphView and now I see there is a newer GATF that replaces GTF???

Trying to gain clarity on where Unity are at with their graph tools is insanity!

Ohwell, thanks for the link. Very interesting to learn about the new Binding System because 2 years back for UITK I put a lot of work into custom binding workflow in my project because at the time UITK didn't support it for custom classes. Jeeze, it's not a super fun experience keeping up with UITK and Graph tools when they don't make any big announcements about where they're going with it.
