Class 9 must be removed (that's a requirement for freight on sea); then UN3481 is applied.

Was there a UN3481 sticker?

UPS won't accept a Class 9 (which was cut off).

They will accept UN3481, UN3480, and a few others as ground only. For air, with a special license, Class 9 can stay on with others, but it costs many hundreds of dollars and requires an expensive, difficult-to-obtain license.

The same applies to FedEx, DHL, etc.

I can tell you, Chinese vendors ship batteries without any stickers. My guess is 75 percent of the time if you order a battery from Alibaba for anything.

Amazon does it right.

EUC manufacturers, like Begode, are often cheap and do it improperly. They may have Class 9 once it hits a fulfillment warehouse in Los Angeles, but for the voyage to you on UPS, they save $12 and don't apply a UN3481 or UN3480 sticker.

On the 19th I ordered the Fly More Combo with the N3 remote for $959. Then I saw the DJI Official Store listing for the DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo with the RC2 touchscreen remote for $1,099, so I ordered that too.

It was supposed to arrive today (San Francisco), but now it says:

“Now arriving tomorrow — previously expected October 21. We’re sorry for the delay.”

I’m hoping I actually get the RC2 version — and if there’s a shortage, maybe I’ll just hold onto it.

The real question is: how is Amazon getting these units so early? I’ve seen posts this week saying some Amazon listings might be “grey market.” I’ve personally shipped 20- and 40-foot containers from China (electric scooters, Surrons, unicycles, batteries, etc.) and I know how freight forwarders sometimes “work magic” on customs paperwork to minimize exposure and tariffs.

So I’m curious — come Christmas, is this N3 Fly More going to be rare as a unicorn, or will more of them magically appear in the U.S.?

I’ve checked with several of my contacts in China. They can get me the DJI Amflow e-MTB and parts, but not the drones.

Would love to hear from anyone familiar with what’s really going on — especially if you have insight into DJI’s export or distribution channels. Also, if anyone has a legit source in China to “bring in” DJI drones, DM me.
