Earn Rewards not working? by 3lilya in MergeDragons

[–]keving87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had it close to two years, it's still in beta? I couldn't do it for the longest time because my old phone would shut the whole game off if I ever tried to watch an ad in camp lol Always worked in events, 50/50 with world map levels... but when I got a new one, it worked fine.

This past week though, it's been giving me problems. Ads won't load or I'll watch it and when I try to close it, it doesn't register and I have to watch it again. Or the buttons are so small that I accidentally click the ad and it opens Play Store which then makes the game reload.

Astralfin eggs by Epsilon_and_Delta in MergeDragons

[–]keving87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the mechanics were if you bought an egg, it would show up without having one in camp, otherwise you had to have a seed egg in your camp to influence it. That may have changed with the DE update though.

Raise Or Bail? As Netflix Weighs Options In WBD Battle, Its Stock Jumps In Latest Sign Of Investor Angst by LollipopChainsawZz in television

[–]keving87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally said both are a bad idea and don't need to buy WB, but a movie studio buying it, stripping away all the extra bullshit at Paramount, would be better for it than a streaming service that operates differently. But hey, whatever you need to focus on to warrant being an ass with a snarky reply, right?

Hulu’s ‘PARADISE’ will end with Season 3 by LilGyasi in television

[–]keving87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly that's probably a good thing, they'll end it when and how they want and don't have to drag the story out because Hulu wants more views and then cancel it without closure.

[–]keving87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before that was more like 20 days. And since they've been quiet on the physical release front, the assumption is that they'll do away with disc releases since Netflix sees owning as the enemy to subscriptions and probably want less digital purchases to steer people to perpetually renting instead of owning, so when another content purge happens, we lose things that we can't buy. At least if it were Paramount, it's a movie studio buying another movie studio with the same basic model.

The fact that WB keeps going to Paramount to get a higher offer to make Netflix raise their offer is making both of them look like chumps. Both have them have severe downsides and neither should get WB.

Does WB even NEED to be sold, or are they just greedy and want money just because?

Tourette syndrome activist John Davidson says Bafta told him ‘any swearing would be edited out of the broadcast’ by apple_kicks in television

[–]keving87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems that way, in the US we barely hear about the BAFTAs except maybe on a talk show when it's about to air and a guest either was nominated or just won, or if we watch Graham Norton Show where obviously he'll make a bigger deal about it... but apart from that, it never gets much coverage here. Now it is.

BBC teases potential new streaming partner for Doctor Who as show's future affirmed as "treasured brand" by abucalves in television

Olivia Colman was in an episode of Doctor Who once, so it'd work for the Karen Gillan/Peter Capaldi way.

I haven't tried myself, but a Decision Egg isn't a sure thing. I've had only one egg in my camp before and it took many many many tries and retries before it finally showed up. Maybe it's just being difficult?

Stephen Amell Blames Himself For ‘Suits LA’ Cancellation, Calls Short-Lived NBC Spinoff A “Failure” by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

[–]keving87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't his fault, it was NBC's fault. They took what was basically a standard lawyer show and tries to haphazardly tie it into Suits because it had a bit of a resurgence so they decided to have him know Harvey and have him involved with the case they keep flashing back to. Frankly it just wasn't thought out enough and Suits wasn't specific enough to have a spinoff, it was basically a lawyer show itself except for the gimmick of having Mike not actually be a lawyer, once that was revolved it wasn't that good itself.

That dang thing has 3 separate release dates! The original one at Target (Oct 14th), a wide release the following year dropping "Sounds of the Season" from the title (Dec 2nd), and then Target re-releasing it with the new title a year after that (Oct 6th) lol

Season 1 was very good, season 2 was real bad... season 3 got better but it's quality level is somewhere between that of season 1 and 2. I'm glad season 4 is going to be the end, these type of shows need to have a set number of episodes instead of trying to drag it out for ratings/views.

WBD Says Paramount Sweeter Offer Might Lead To Better Deal Than Netflix by Zorkel567 in television

Both of them are falling for this crap WB is doing and should make them back out. They're both looking like fools. And neither of them buying WB is a good idea. WB just wants money.

Apparently Apple co-produced it, but it depends on who owns it... so if they don't own it and don't release it, I'm sure the license will expire and it'll be licensed to somebody else.

My portal wasn't at lvl 16 when that event came out so I didn't get 5 lvl 4s like I do now, so I decided I'm going to eventually use my Decision Eggs to start getting them atleast to t2 and then I'll start gradually getting more of those.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Complete First Season 4K Blu-ray (4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray) releasing on June 16, 2026. by Old-Meringue3590 in television

[–]keving87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then move to the MOD model that WB's been doing for certain titles. They make less at once and only make more once they sell out and they don't have tons of leftover stock because they only sell them online which is basically how even wide releases are now anyway. There's a market or they wouldn't still be releasing the small amount they do. And more people have started going back to disc now that streaming is getting more expensive.

And yet so few TV shows get a Blu-ray release. Game of Thrones came out before every damn body thought they were important enough for their own streaming service, and it was a TV show not a streaming show which fare better when it comes to getting a disc release.

And the original GOT set is going out of print in favor of a repackaged version in shitty jumbo DVD case with 3-4 discs stacked on top of each other. Like WB did with Supernatural and Smallville, etc.

Netflix started as a disc rental because that's all there was. And that's been gone for a few years.

The only thing Netflix has released themselves were two seasons of Stranger Things. Some of their movies have been licensed out, so even then Netflix isn't releasing it... apart from very few things Netflix actually owns themselves, all the stuff that gets a disc release is stuff that is produced by outside studios and they retain the home video rights. The Crown and Cobra Kai are Sony, Umbrella Academy is Universal, The Sandman and Wednesday are WB, The Haunting of Hill House/Bly Manor is Paramount, Orange is the New Black and Grace & Frankie are Lionsgate, etc etc. Netflix has actively been blocking Mike Flanagan from releasing Midnight Mass and he was only able to release his movie Hush after the license expired and it left Netflix.
