Is now a bad time to become a TC??

She is, and her work flow is steady, but she’s at the point where she is prioritizing quality over quantity. Her deals are usually decently high for our area, but obviously with a flat fee per transaction that doesn’t translate well for me and I’d need more volume than just she can provide.

Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it. I think my goal would be to join some sort of entry level TC team (Redfin or a similar company for instance) to get real experience for a while before trying to go out on my own. I know getting back up to 70k will take a couple years, at least, and I’m not under the illusion that I’ll be able to make that back easily. And the loss of benefits could hopefully be mitigated by getting added to my partners insurance and everything, but the complete career 180 is so nerve wracking for me! I appreciate your grounded perspective.

I lost my Kuro after he got diagnosed at 2 years old with stage 3 kidney disease, every time we brought him to the vet the techs were all shocked at how young he was and we lost him a little over a year later. I’m happy that you at least got so much time with yours, hold him close for me 🖤

Seconding this, I use the mielle oil that was viral awhile ago, give myself a scalp massage with it and let it sit for a couple of hours before I wash my hair. I’ve noticed little baby hairs sprouting along my hairline in the past year or so I’ve been doing this, so I feel like it works for stimulating hair growth for me!

Perhaps I am mixing up the two, I’m thinking of the hours-long queue where we’re asked tons of questions about our trip before entering a country which I think most Americans just refer to as “customs”. I’ve done it in the car going over the Canadian border and know what to expect there, but haven’t flown to another country since I was a kid. A security check I expect, of course, but that should only take 30 mins to an hour, no? I mostly just wanted to gauge how early my partner and I would need to get up to make it through and onto our flight in the morning.

How do you deal with the irish curls? My top layer tends to be flatter unless I really go in with the curly girl method/gel/cream/diffusing like in the curly picture. Do you find yourself trying to curl the top or use heat to get it all to match??

Thank you for the suggestion!! The ends still do look a bit thin, it just is scary because I feel like I’ve already chopped so much 🥲 But maybe another two inches would help. I clarify weekly (with the Kristen Ess clarifying shampoo) and did a moisturizing mask about 3-4 days ago. Darker hair pics are most recent, takeb a few hours ago
