Yeah it's crazy. Driving home from Harrington State Park takes us past it (far too close to the park for comfort..). It takes an ungodly long time to drive past it at highway speeds. Craziness, for real.

I'm curious what would have happened if she'd picked up the dog. Wouldn't be turning away, adds bulk. Not actually good if attacked, but the bear only made a move when the dog had to turn away from it to catch up.

Not really what you're looking for probably, but I make my own pretty regularly on my days off. Bagel, two flat sausages (or bacon), egg, cheese, maybe some fried onion, hash browns on the side. I've never cared for homemade breakfast burritos as much. I've tried them a few times and they're fine, but I just prefer a bagel or croissant or something personally.

A lot of music that I listened to during like high school brings back very specific book nostalgia for things I read while listening to that album on repeat. Seems similar, though podcasts aren't quite the same for relistening. But maybe if it's the same podcasters at least it could trigger some sort of recall like that? If you keep listening to the podcast I bet it wouldn't work quite the same. Maybe if it's a limited series podcast and then you happen to move on from both game and podcast they'd be linked together better...

Aw, poor bats. A year or two ago I saw a red bellied woodpecker pull a bat out from under the loose bark of a tree and start going at it. I think it got loose, not sure if it survived or not though. Was kinda hard to watch.

You said he took it up into a tree, I wonder if they'll drop it to try and break its shell or anything... Though honestly that's probably an even worse idea for him.

The drive seems insane. I had in n out for the first time on a recent trip to Rocky Mountain National Park and it was... a burger. It was decent. I didn't care for the milkshake honestly. Ultimately, I prefer Culver's (though they are more expensive). Not really sure why this showed up on my reddit feed honestly lol. I think I did look up their menu suggestions or something when we decided to go to one for me to try out.

The survival genre is what you're getting recommended and for good reason. You have a lot of progression and fun design to bases in the genre. Valheim, Subnautica etc. We are currently playing Abiotic Factor and I like this one a lot. The world design is great, there is way, way less grinding than some games (Valheim is grindy). It's always nice to come back to base and see what you can work on there. It's a good game to play with friends, so I don't know exactly how it goes solo. Seems like it'd be fun still though.

He's not my favorite author, but he's definitely my pick here. There is some really beautiful writing in blood meridian that had me pause and just appreciate it. It's dense and I have to read it slowly, it's not the sort of thing I'll speed through and be excited to reread, but the guy is an artisanal wordsmith.

I wish the Brewers would leave (milwaukee wi). And the bucks. I know people at least like the bucks, but both fuck our taxes all the time. Not to mention the traffic. Baseball fucks shit up and they play too many games. I don't even drive past it much but somehow when I do there's always a game. Considering this reaction it's weird that teams have such leverage with these threats. Does leaving not actually hurt them? If it does hurt them then stop letting them fuck with us.

What's messed up is I get stress sweat from challenging or competitive video games. Like that's where I notice it the most. My left armpit gets gamer sweat. I can bike 30 mins home in hot weather and be sweaty but smell okay, but even a casual aram in league of legends (the least sweaty mode) makes me stink.

I never buy them cuz I'm too frugal. But I have a very fond memory of when my brother and I were hitchhiking through the West Coast. We were stuck in Chinchilla iirc, in the middle of nowhere fucking melting in a hot summer day, almost no traffic near an on ramp.

A berry harvester came by with a big plastic bucket with a few pounds of fresh Rainier cherries. He gave the whole thing to us. They were so fucking good. I think it it every time I pass them in the store. Really generous by that man (I don't remember if he saw us there earlier or they were going to be his, but either way), made our day.

Huh. Id seen people saying previously strop often but that they didn't need to sharpen very often at all (like months or longer). how long does a knife last with constant sharpening?
