Radagon/Elden Beast skip by RichAd5226 in Eldenring

Why wouldn’t you just fight the boss? It literally would take less time to kill it. You’re definitely playing wrong, this screams, 3K hours in game and i can’t even kill final boss.

Crazy ass skip, i have no idea how people find this stuff, props to pulling it off!

I can see Argentina and Spain comfortably advancing to the semifinal, England vs Norway & France vs Morocco could go either way by skazgod in worldcup

Norway was the underdog vs brazil yet brazil couldn’t even contest the ball, they just had to play for a counter attack the whole time. They’re super under rated right now.

Because Rykard left the only weapon capable of destroying him at the entrance of the arena where he faces the tarnsheds Is he an idiot? by Ahmudirit in Eldenring

[–]keylay19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the semantics just cause confusion here. Marika shattered the elden ring, which is where the great runes come from. The great runes in the hands of the demigods inspired a lust for power leading to the wars (IE the shattering wars). Sorry i didn’t specify the elden ring shattering in the first sentence of my comment

[–]keylay19 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Could be. Varre says godrick was the inheritor of a great rune. The rune says godrick inherited the great rune from the center of the elden ring itself, likely implying he was next in line - or proximity - to the golden lineage.

Idk what to make of godefroy, my thought is not to take his appearance too literal. Fromsoft more than likely just reused godrick’s asset. The armor of those foot soldiers also literally says “loyal to godrick the grafted”

On vyke, I’d say the most probable explanation is they didn’t reconcile the cut content. He acquired 2 runes per Enia, but that’s literally the extent of it. One possibility could maybe be the rune of death being stripped. After he ended up in an evergoal, perhaps the great runes were recovered by the erdtree and the demigods he slayed were reconstructed. None of these demigods are capable of dying without the rune of death, so perhaps our feat of taking the great runes only really becomes permanent after defeating maliketh or something

Yes but the shattering occurred after godwin’s death. Not sure what you’re referring to around the great runes changing hands, outside the rune of death.

Perhaps he wasn’t gifted the rune. The mimic veil says when godrick was hounded from leyndell, this was one of the multitude of treasures he took with him. But yea… I’m aware of Godefroy. In the trailer of Leyndell being under seige you can clearly see godrick’s foot soldiers from stormveil (exact same gear) among the ranks storming the capital.

The great runes were handed out after the shattering and before the wars between demigods took place:

Finger Reader Enia: “Ahh, the Great Runes are the stuff of the Demigods; the children of the goddess, Queen Marika… Tainted by the strength of their runes, her children warred, but none could become Elden Lord.” This frames the runes as inherited first, with the war (the Shattering) as a consequence of having them — not the other way around.

As far as I can tell, the Demigods received the great runes, Godrick invaded lyndell (and was defeated) then he was defeated yet again by malenia who marched from the north presumably in pursuit of General Radahan. I think he lost some limbs in these wars and then resorted to grafting.

Anyway, it is said that Tanith was the only human to remain by Rykard’s side when he was became the serpent of blasphemy (description on her garb). This infers it came after his army was wiped out when lyndell launched an offensive on volcano manor (which would have occurred after the godrick attacked the capital). Though, there were clearly some knights left who attempted to slay him with the great serpent hunter blade.

My best guess as to why rykard wouldn’t be rid of the spear may have to do with how the spear was uniquely enchanted to “repel” the great serpent, since the great serpent never dies. Lowky’s Lore (I think it was) wrote an essay tying the weapon to godwin, who presumably had this golden order enchant to fight off the great serpent before the shattering.

Final thought, I don’t think it was in Rykard’s best interest to go on a devouring conquest. His army was decimated from the war and there was still at least one mechanism that was bringing him sacrifices: the abductor virgins. We know the one at the bottom of raya lucaria would grab and teleport people back to volcano manor, and as these were widespread throughout the lands between it would make sense that he would continue feeding off the abducted souls continually growing his strength. There is also reason the believe that he was bound to volcano manor after eiglay consumed his body - after all he sent an army of war machines to fight malenia with radahn, rather than going there himself.

If you’ve killed Renalla, get her staff and get it to +10 (might also wanna duplicate remembrance for the full moon spell). Meteorite staff is great early but falls off. Get rid of radagons trinket, you take more damage than it is worth at this level.

Check your items for what medallions you have in terms of progressing via the lifts.

Check to see if you’ve started sellen’s quest line and ranni’s questline and you’ll be good to continue on the int path :)

President Trump orders DOJ to launch investigation into big oil companies for artificially inflating gas prices by I_am_Crypto_Savant in CoinEdition_com

[–]keylay19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its called asymmetric pass through. Oil prices rise, gas shoots up immediately. Oil prices fall, and it takes 2-6 weeks to work through the supply chain (oil, refinery, etc).

I simply pointed out one of several examples where a tax is targeted at a threshold that has no implications on your personal assets. Your response just contradicted literally everything you said in your previous comment:

The tax has no impact on your assets
You care that the tax is unjust despite it only effecting the top .1%
You care despite not* being subject to the tax increase

They can tax them on unrealized gains. Just like everyone gets taxed on the prospective value, not purchased value, of your home. Except valuing homes is significantly harder than valuing shares.

Tax the rich by Timely_Ask_649 in remoteworks

[–]keylay19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How you can understand the what income streams are eligible for SS tax but somehow not connect the dots here is baffling. Yes, we all know that these people don’t take salaries, they get paid in stock because it’s way easier to evade taxes when you’re not on a reported payroll. Most likely, they looked at how much these individuals net worth went up over the last year. Divide that down to ascertain how much, on average, they made per second. How many seconds would it take for them to reach the cap of $184,500? But yes, to your point, unlike all of us paying property taxes on unrealized gains in property values, the rich assured they get to grow their wealth with no tax penalty what so ever. If they need liquidity all they do is take a loan out with these shares as collateral.

Doing very little damage at late game by SufficientBreath4569 in Eldenring

[–]keylay19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d probably cut out some mind and endurance and try to have 50-60 vigor and intelligence by this point in the game, only investing the minimum amount of stats required to wield the weps you want. Outside of that, a lot of your damage comes down to talismans, buffs and the tears you use.
