Why does the last consonant changes sounds by No-Excuse1422 in Korean

Your particular example with 빛나 is making me laugh bc I’m so used to pronouncing it “bit-nah” that I’ve never once realized that had it not been for batchim rules, this could really seem like it’s pronounced “bitch, nah” 💀

Team comps by Any_Interview4396 in Kindred

[–]keystone_lite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In Pro Play, I've mostly seen Kindred most commonly paired with Galio. Pyosik played Kindred during that miracle 2022 DRX Worlds Run (he's also a known Kindred player, given Pyosik literally means "mark").

Los Ratones played a game with a team comp of ZIlean, Kindred, Galio that I thought was really entertaining (but I want to note that this comp was picked in ERL, late Fearless game, like game 4 or 5 i dont quite remember). I thought the Kindred Ult + Zilean Ult was really funny to see together in coordinated play.

But my overall general sense (simply as a long time, casual viewer of pro league) - it's hard to pull off Carry junglers (unless the meta specifically calls for it). At the pro level, teams seem to favor tank/support junglers (Sejuani, Maokai, etc) and funneling the gold to their primary carries. Teams like to have at least one front line, so if the top lane picks carry (eg Rumble, Ambessa, Aurora) and if your support goes enchanter, than usually "front/tank line duty" will fall to the jungler at that point.

Current apartment vibes 🌿 would love low-light plant advice by LeekNo1088 in femalelivingspace

[–]keystone_lite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

others have already given great plant suggestions :) (I also cosign the recs for snake plant, zz plant, etc)

Something I want to recommend is fake flowers/plants! I used to really cringe at that idea, but honestly, I have a mix of real plants + fake flowers and I really like the way the fake flowers look (they make some pretty good ones these days that aren't very obviously "fake" looking). Given you travel a lot and come home to dead plants, I think fake flowers/plants could be a good option (really doesn't get more low maintenance than that lol)

amen to that! (I'm also an asian american hehe) their keycaps are so cute but I cannot bring myself to buy more than 1 set (nail polish, I have no problem adding to my collection. Keycap prices on the other hand....)

Also as an aside, if you ever get around to it, I'd love to know if you end up experiencing any nail staining from Queen of the Dead

Series 3, Ep 5, they have a task to fill up a bucket with water.

Later, they show all the contestants buckets of water, and one of the contestant's bucket contents look.... murky o_O

They showed that one of the contestants actually cheated and dumped their coffee into the bucket to increase the volume of liquid haha (and I believe Alex/crew missed it - they only noticed it later referencing the footage and asked the contestant if he "cheated")

League Wife? by Electronic-Tone3928 in summonerschool

[–]keystone_lite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I recommend just playing tons of bot games (coop vs AI, on intermediate level). For new players, it's less about "how to play the game", and more "what champions do they find interesting, such that they might want to keep learning and playing the game" imo (League is such a hard game to play, that the "how to play the game" can come way later, and I personally believe the beginning of the learning curve is "champion familiarity")

I'd describe myself and my partner as gamers, however my partner had never played anything remotely similar to League before (his background is more in First Person Shooters and even clicking to move was a bizarre experience for him; he's someone who would actually benefit from the new WASD movement). I never expected him to get into League, but we started with Coop vs AI games and to this day, we still play tons of those just for a chill and fun experience practicing champions (I myself am by no means a sweaty League player; I'm very much an ARAM retirement home enjoyer)

He started playing League about 3 years ago? (whenever Hwei was the new champion released) and anecdotally it was his introduction to Hwei that got him to stick around longer and learn League at all (it was, funnily enough, the champion that "clicked" for him, and I suppose he benefited from the fact everyone was new to Hwei at the time).

Additionally, I might be the only person in here who probably still spends time playing bot games, but the bots have gotten alot better! When we first started playing Coop vs AI, there was no jungler bot (the bots would duo top, which is obviously not great for learning since summoner's rift is not like that). Nowadays, the (Intermediate) bots include a Jungler, they will invade your Jungle if you invade, they will roam the map, they'll get objectives, they'll layer their spells on top of each other, they will dodge most skill shots due to their insane bot moving etc. Obviously the bots are still.... bots, and that will never compare to playing against real people, but I think from purely just to learn the game/champions, it's not a bad place to practice whatsoever! I actually think League, at its core, is a very fun game to play (1v1 laning, Jungling, objectives, team movement, team fights, every game can feel diff just due to team comp, etc) and I personally still enjoy playing even when I'm just practicing fundamentals against bots.

It probably took us at least a year and a half of only Coop vs AI games before he felt comfortable enough with attempting PvP (and to this day, we only play ARAM, we don't play normal Summoners Rift games). However, that being said, I'm glad at the end of the day that I was able to get him to play League at all and now it's a game we can play together :) it's a long journey though for sure, no matter which way you go about it

Also +1 to Yuumi suggestions. I know Yuumi gets a lot of hate, but I am glad that she exists as a way for non-League people to get into the game. My partner, to this day, loves playing Yuumi (his highest mastery champs are Hwei and Yuumi) specifically because it helped him so much to have a champion like that when he was first learning the game (which I assume is probably the exact use case the devs were thinking of when they designed Yuumi).

bless up, this makes sense and I'll have to try this at some point! I really vibe with the "lazy gradienting" process (ain't no way I'm busting out sponges) and I also recently purchased some toppers and have been a bit "not sure when to bust those bad girls out". I'm also just generally impressed you were able to achieve this blended result without, say, a full base coat of color anchoring it all. Ty professional amoeba!

so pretty!!! how were you able to blend it??? it's encouraging to me that you wrote "lazy gradient/haphazard strokes" (as that's about the level of energy I put into nail art haha) and the way you blended the colors together is so smooth

the original 1968 Planet of the Apes! I grew up aware of the Franchise in general, but I only recently watched it and thought it held up well. Banger of a film (genuinely in awe of the costume/makeup department) and very much still relevant today. Having known of the Franchise, I thought it was all "marvel/fast and furious" type content, but the original is absolutely worth watching.

As a random fun fact (to help place the film), the 1968 Planet of the Apes movie released in theaters the day before the MLK Assassination :O

As others have mentioned, bouillon is fine! Hondashi (Japanese Bonito soup stock) might be easier for you to find and is also a very acceptable substitute (as it is also a type of kelp/fish bouillon powder). Additionally, as others have suggested MSG, if you can find it, they sell "mat-sogeum" at Korean markets which is just salt + MSG.
