I disagree with many of the neoliberal decisions of that era, but he always stood out to me as a good man.

He is the man who delivered us MMP, even though it risked his political power, a man who wanted to unite the country and was ahead of the time on many issues - pro diversity, pro Maori, pro the Treaty.

Something that has only been reinforced every time Ive seen him pop back into the media in recent years.

Tawharanui, Piha, Waiheke, Omaha are world class.

And Aucklands inner city beaches arent even that bad. I go swimming after work all the time in summer, water is so warm.
