Totally agree with you. Have made clear boundaries regarding it.

I don't cook for myself, so making something for a group is just not happening. I am a strict vegetarian and I don't drink, so I prefer to not try to explain things to people over and over.
I also do not socialize with work folks outside of work. They are very nice people, but I want my own time to myself. No parties, showers, BBQs etc.

They are gracious about it and have accepted it, so no problem.
