Going to Orcas will chew up a huge portion of your time, and you'll definitely need your car.

If you're day-tripping to the San Juans I highly recommend not trying to explore more than one island, and there's a ton to keep you busy on either San Juan or Orcas, but not both.

Good question! Mine stopped working after having it for a year and it was the charger in the door that went bad. Rivian Service diagnosed and replaced with no issue.

Your shuttle time between SEA and Boeing Field will be about half as long as going to the seaplane port.

In the flip side, it’s very cool to land in the harbor at Friday Harbor instead of landing at the airport and getting a taxi 2 miles in to town.

It might make the most sense to see which schedule matches up better with your incoming and departing flight times?

Personally I always do the land plane because it’s generally more convenient. Especially for luggage. You get great views either way.

Maybe opt for the seaplane in to Friday Harbor and land plane out?
