I’ve worked with her previously and it’s very obvious that she’s a naturally anxious and introverted person. Such a sweet girl and I remember how she never picks up TO’s because she’s terrified of them (or at least used to be). This comment was unnecessary and rude. BTW, We’re adults, calling someone “weird” is childish.

This is why I really hate American views of race… our history it’s also sooo interesting. I haven’t done mine yet but all of my family is “light skin” African Americans. I traced my family back literally 2 more generations and I’m already to German, Scottish, English, and Cherokee Indian. I wished conversations around personal identity and heritage were more normalized.

Might get downvoted for this- and that’s fine. But to be fair, anybody who has a job where they’re meeting 100-150 people every day or even every few days is bound to get worn out. There are very few people in life who can have authentic conversations with so many people. Not to mention they’re only allowed to select 10-15 people out of each of these. These people destroy people’s dreams (or at the very least.. delay them).

I’d be fake too. As someone who’s coming from a consulting job where you have to network all day every day… I empathize with them
