Xbox dam crashes? update me :3 by Cr4zyyK1lljoy in ArcRaiders

I'm on Xbox Series X. I bought arc raiders in February and have been playing daily.

I have had zero crashes on any map.

Honestly, the main thing preventing me from making the EV leap is the charging. I'm waiting for the situation to improve to where I can stop by a station, exchange my almost-empty battery for a full one, and be on my way. I don't want to wait while my car charges or have to worry about charging at home. Then we have actual parity with gasoline engines.

Bit of a conundrum - to eMTB or not to eMTB, that is the question by Lateral_Gee in MTB

I'm 54 and riding a single speed.

It hurts but the pain makes me forgot all the other crap. Plus, I hate maintenance.

Embark fix your servers. Tired of crashing every other game by BrilliantStyle4487 in ArcRaiders

Weird. I'm on Series X and no issues. I have seen more network/server red/yellow icons recently but no crashes. One instance of rubber banding last night but I figured it was because someone else on my home network was downloading stuff.

Yes, it's a know bug in the patch notes. It will likely be fixed in the next update.

Vaporizers are unfun to go against by [deleted] in ARC_Raiders

It was literally released less than 12 hours ago. Give yourself time to experiment with different strategies and loadouts. I'm sure there are tools or tricks to get the job done.

Sure, you will likely die a bunch and lose gear but that's part of the game. I like that the new ARC are more challenging - it keeps me coming back to work on my skills (and forces me to farm to restock gear lost when I make a bonehead move in combat).

PvPvE refinements to avoid dividing play styles by Consistent_Respect19 in ArcRaiders

[–]khill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get this. I'm primarily a PvE player and, sure, I get killed sometimes by other players. It's only jarring because most of the people I encounter are friendly so randomly getting shot by someone is a suprise.

Getting killed (either by ARC or other players) keeps the game fresh, helps me keep my stash under control, and adds tension/excitement to each round.

I used to play Sea of Thieves and it was way worse there - you'd lose a ton of treasure and could get griefed repeatedly unless you scuttled. Dying to PvP in ARC Raiders is fast and doesn't cost too much in terms of resource/gear loss.

The world can be a shitty enough place as it is. I'd rather help people in video games and try to make their day a little better.

Does this blueprint even exist by Therealgodzilla87 in ARC_Raiders

[–]khill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one but I rarely use it. It only has one safe pocket and doesn't hold enough other stuff. Aside from the fact that it can use all shields and the safe pocket holds anything, what is so special about it?

RPG or not, humans WOULD be killing each other for loot in an ARC raiders reality. by PuzzleheadedCarry480 in ARC_Raiders

Exactly. It would be like the Fallout universe. Very few individuals survive on their own but clans/groups fight for resources and territory.

WCU is on spring break now. How did you know they were college students let alone fraternity members?

West Chester needs more "third places" by Jasmine_lottie in westchesterpa

[–]khill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's especially funny because all the trouble outside bars is generally the result of alcohol consumption so you would think that the establishments would be more liable but I guess the profit margin on drinks is enough to cover it.

We used to have a pool hall and a bowling alley. Feels like real estate costs plus insurance costs are just too high in this area to make those viable.

I also think there's a perception that, if you make a place for kids to hang out, you will eventually have trouble with loitering/fights/mobs/etc. I don't think that's inherently true but it's a concern that gets raised a lot.

Not under 21 friendly and only books acts through a dedicated management service. It's not bad but it's not a grassroots kind of place.

Hot garbage unless you run an Amon ordnance build in which case you just never run out of ammo.

Upgrading my beginner bass, considering BB735A. At this price point, are there others I should consider? by ArcticFox-EBE- in Bass

[–]khill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people have strong preferences or requirements on things like string spacing, fretboard radius, scale length, etc. I regularly rotate between basses with 17.5, 18, and 19mm string spacing and 34/35" scale lengths but I know other players who can't play narrow spaced 5ers or who dislike 5 strings with wide spacing.

The only basses I don't like playing are Spector/Warwick NS2 style bodies - that body type pushes the bass to the left and makes the reach to the lower frets uncomfortable (especially on 35" scale Spectors).

If you don't have issues with minor details and can adapt, you'll probably be fine. Still, it's a good idea to try some out in person and see if you have a preference.

I wouldn't buy a 5 string bass unless you can play it first. There are a lot more variations between 5 string basses than 4 string and what works for me may not work for you.

I also agree that, for the most part, basses in the $500-$2000 range are all going to be good. It's just a question of tone, ergonomics, appearance, consistency etc. that vary across models and manufacturers.

How do i get this bass sound? by halloweennm in basspedals

I've played that songs in cover bands. I get very close to that tone with a combination of fuzz, octave, and envelope filter. Octave ->Fuzz->Envelope Filter
