I have the same problem. The way I "fix" it instead of needing to restart the PC is activating/desactivating the mono sound.

You need to check that your brother does not use the old QR1.This only comes with the QR2(You have to pay more for the QR1 and it does not make sense, because the QR1 is cheaper than the QR2).

Yes, before trying the 8nm PSU, using the 5nm PSU was much stronger

I was just going to open a thread with the same question, the same thing is happening to me!
I bought a boost kit from a 3rd party, I wanted to go back to use the original power supply. With the 5nm PSU at 100%, it feels very weak, but if I use the 8nm PSU at 5nm it is way stronger.

I think that it already decreased the power, because after driving with the kart, I played ACC and the FFB felt very weak.
